Question for all the Ninja owners

Hi i was wondering if i can get some suggestions for a summer motorcycle jacket

since in bay area today it is 90 degrees and when i was on my bike with my jacket on it felt like it is 140 degrees

wondering if there are any other people who share the same feelings

I'm not sure how susceptible you are to hot and cold but my Joe rocket UFO jacket is pretty nice for the warm days...it hasnt gotten overly hot here yet but at 22 degrees celcius it was still plenty cool with the rain liner removed....they are a sharp looking jacket too.

I bought one of these last summer when I found my heavy black jacket way too warm for warm weather:
http://corazzo.net/?q=node/6

It's lighter than leather and has several mesh vents. If I open all the vents up and keep moving it flows a lot of air - but no jacket is going to be cool if you're sitting stopped at a light or in bumper-to-bumper.

look at some heavily vented textile jackets or mesh jackets.

I've got the Joe Rocket Phoenix 5.0 and I love it. It's so light and air goes right through it. I live in Ft. Worth, TX and it gets a little toasty but the jacket itself adds almost no heat. The hot air heats me up more than the jacket. Just my $.02...

I wore this jacket last year during the summer and was didn't have any problems.

newenough has always done right by me so I highly recommend them. I'm sure others will have their favorites.

I own a Rev-It Strada jacket which has a removable inner liner, and 6 air vents that can be opened and closed.
But then again, this is my first motorcycle jacket i have bought

This is the jacket I wear...perforated leather...breathes very well...absurdly good price. It's really much cooler than it looks even for TX.

I wear a 42R (5'11", 180lbs) and am pretty happy with a Large.

As previously mentioned, NewEnough rocks.

I have a TourMaster Intake and it's a true 3-season jacket. I've worn it in temperatures from the 30s (with liners) to almost 100 (without liners) and it adjusts to all the temperatures in between. Lots of comfort for the protection it offers, no matter how you set it up.

Plus one. Drop the liner out and you're as close to nekkid as you can get and still have some protection.

Dont care much for those mesh jackets, some friends really love them thou.

i use one of the JR mesh jacket.
It does the job of keeping me cool while I'm moving, but I'd definitely get a perforated leather when I have some money.
