ZX10r pegs
So after seeing kkim's DIY on using 250 passenger pegs as the driver pegs I set out on a mission to find some passenger pegs from a 250 to swap out from our local motorcycle salvage yard. My hopes were to find a set from a pre-gen 250 and use them since they have the same part numbers. Sadly they did not have any 250's at all. But they lady rummaged around and found me ZX10r drivers pegs. Since they looked like a close fit and she would sell them to me for $5. it was worth the risk. They Fit excellent with no mods and are already rubberized!!!!
The original peg is on the bottom, and the ZX10 is on the top fit on the bike. even the little rubberized bottom bolts fit. So if you want to change out your pegs I imagine since the ZX10's fit, all ninja pegs must be similar and would probably fit.

Well they are a little wider than the stock ones, more room for my foot. I like that they are less clunky looking than the stock ones too. they are more like the passenger pegs, just have a rubber coating on them. For $5 it can't be beat.

This may open some other choices though. Does this mean we could search for ZX-10 aftermarket pegs to interchange with our 250's?

for those who have chosen to keep their passenger pegs, but want to do the mod, i believe Richard (RaceBikeRentals) has them available for cheap as he pulls them from his bikes for track purposes.

Yes this does open up some market options for us as far as pegs go, I am willing to guess that all Ninja pegs are the same, because this is a very simple part and I doubt they design the way they attach different for each bike. that said I am willing to bet the 250, 500, 600, 636, 10, and 14 all have the same attachment. funny thing I was out last night and saw a zx14 and it's pegs looked just like the ones I just removed from my bike.
