I don't know if this happens to anyone else but I get bugs IN my helmet while riding. I don't understand how that happens! The first time it happened it was a BEE inside...I thought it was on my visor and stuck there, then it started crawling, that's when I realized it was on the inside of my visor.

I was riding with a chick once and a bee flew down her jacket, then it stung her on the boob.

There is a happy ending to this story.... I got to remove the stinger.

I think I am a magnet for bugs. On two consecutive rides, I had to pull over because a gnat actually went IN my eye. The first time, I was with a buddy and couldn't get his attention, so that one took a ride for about 10 miles. I also picked up a bee in the top vent of my helmet the other day.

I had my first bug strike this morning on my commute in. All I saw was a yellow blur and it hit me in the throat (I was going about 80). That smarts. It hurt so much that I was checked for blood (and found guts).

Sometimes they DO hurt! I think it must have been a locust or something that hit me in the shoulder once. I literally looked around at first thinking someone just nailed me with a rock somewhere. I was quite surprised how painful bugs can be. This is my first time riding around, so I'm learning all these neat things no one tells you about. LOL

In full gear my wife had a bee fly right up her jacket sleeve and sting her on the inside of her elbow. You couldn't do that again in a million years.

I had a bug of some sort fly under the chin bar and hook right up inside to my nose. He went in my nose... way up my nose... so now I'm coughing, snorting and blowing like crazy. In the end, he ended up going the full course and as I swallowed him, it left a bitter taste. Yechhhh.

I'm sure it must've been funny for the cagers behind me to see some biker slinging his head around like crazy for no appearent reason.

LOL, same thing happened to me...on the freeway! Noticed a bug on my visor, a couple seconds later, it started crawling, so I turned my head sideways so the wind would catch it. That didn't work, so I wipe my hand across my visor. That didn't work either...WAH OH! I focused my vision onto it, and it was a bee INSIDE my helmet. Panicked and opened my visor up. Bad move! Not exactly sure where it went, but I couldn't pull over right away, cuz I was on an onramp bridge between freeways. Took the first exit I could...it was the longest 30 seconds ever! When I finally got stopped, I pulled my helmet off as fast as I could, but couldn't find the bee. Guess it got blown out when I opened the visor. Hmm...that, or it's somewhere wedged in the padding of my helmet. Lemme go check that now...

That's basically how it happened to me. I could have pulled over but I was ALMOST home and I felt like, as long as I can still see the bee, I'm good! I did try a couple times to flip up my visor but I figured it if went into my eye, that would be just as bad as being stung in the face.
