Question 150 Rear Tire

So I'm considering putting a 150/60 rear tire on my Ninja cause I keep experiencing rear slide out from how low I get in the corners. I've inspected the stock size tire that I currently have on and I can see where it's rolling over the edge. My only concern with the 150 rear would be fitment between the swingarm. I've read that the can fit on the stock wheel but that the wider tire wheel eventually become "rolled" out. I am about 200 pounds and was hoping any other riders who have done this could shed some light on this for me. Any info is welcome.

What tire are you running now? My guess is that you need a stickier tire, which will then also throw you into a wider tire as I don't think there's much of any choice in the stock size for a sticky rear tire.

I'm 205 and have been running a 150 tire for the last 2 years....I mainly ride twisties all the time and don't experience any "roll" out. Check out my vids...

These fit well with no mods needed and have been successful with other riders here on the forum...

Also of if I do put the 150/60 on should I go to a 120/60 on the front?

if that's your preference- I've got the 120 as well.....I don't really know what the trade off is if you stay with a 110 in the front.

what rear controls setup do you have?

p.s. the 150 will leave you with some wicked chicken strips from the pinched tire.

Yeah, but I can make up for this with only having half of my footpegs from grinding 'em off!

Also another thing I would like to know about the 150 tire. Upon installation will it affect the speedometer readings at all? And which rear hugger will fit besides the A-Tech one from Black Diamond?

either way- with the 110 or 120 in front my bike was always 5-7 mph off the speedo.

Yeah I just did a GPS test on my speedo today and after 30mph it's off by about 5mph.
