Akrapovic on Ninja 250R

I sold my yoshi exhuast two weeks ago,and got the Akra exhaust. Because my other bikes all have akra exhausts. I like the sound of Akra, its more deep and not too loud.

It sure looks the part. Does it come with a heatshield?

No, all my carbon fiber Akras does not come with any heatshiled, because it does not need it. Even right after I ride it does not burn me when I touched the exhaust.

I think a heat shield on a polygonal-shaped exhaust is a matter of asthetics more than heat protection. Some people like how the lines flow inward to the midpipe, like with your former Yoshimura, rather than just falling away at the leading edge of the can. That Akrapovic looks super nice. A question though: is the retaining strap also CF, or is it another material with etching/stamping to look CF?

Good choice, in the UK, you can choose to have this option directly from Kawasaki on certain bikes.

Heat shield

This is exactly why I went with the yoshi, I hate when you can see the pipe, I wanted the M4 but at the end decide to get the yoshi just because of the heat shield. The price was about the same. I hope is no to loud for me. I like he way this akra looks, but it would look a lot better with a heat shield IMHO.
