Don't know what this is?

How's it going, I'm new to the bike scene so don't get on me too hard for not knowing my stuff. Anyway I have a 2004 ninja 250, Laid down on its right side by the previous owner, and he had this taped to the passenger peg. Would like to know what it is?

Welcome.

That is the rear brake light switch. It attaches to the frame and has a spring that goes to the rear brake lever . #92145
