Well, it's Been Fun!

It's not quite a done deal, but it looks pretty certain that I'll be trading my little 250/300 Ninja racebike for an SV650 racebike (3rd time around on an SV). I've had a ball racing the little beast and showing the big bikes a thing or two. I've appreciated the friendliness of the Ninjette forum and I wouldn't be surprised if I show back up here on a 400 Ninja in a year or two.

Thanks!

Congratulations on your future bike! Even if you don’t have a ninjette you are still welcome to stick around.

No need to leave... forums are made of people* and good people are worth sticking around for. I sold my Ninjette six years ago but am still very active here and find it worthwhile.

*So is Soylent Green FYI.

My last real bike was an SV650s. Probably the most fun bike I've owned to date. Clearly, you "get it". 👊

Thanks Y'all. I'm happy to share what I learned on my bike in the future. Getting mine down below 290 lb made it feel like riding a bicycle and super fun!

I'm super excited about modifying the new race scoot and I haven't even got it yet! My goal for the SV650 is to get it below 310 lb. Only 20 more pounds than the Little Beast and twice as much power should be lots of fun.

Getting your bikes weight down sounds like a lot of people’s New Years Resolutions.

I find it easier to take the weight off the bike.

Very true and once you get the weight off it stays off.

Although I have unintentionally used an angle grinder on myself, it always seems to grow back.
