Odd sound, not major

Nothing major here, but it was a cold morning yesterday, so figured I would put on full choke. I then pressed the starter a little too fast accidentally, out of no where I here a loud POP. I perked up wondering what it was, checked the bike, cycled the ignition switch and started it up with no issue.

Any idea what that was? Maybe a little backfire?

Haha....I haven't looked for bullet holes yet...

Funny enough there have been two dead bodies floating in the canal bordering my dorms that I live in over the last year or so.

Thanks for the thoughts guys.

An occasional spit, pop or bang during start up for a carb is normal. As long as it is not smoking excessively and runs fine afterwards, nothing to worry about. Mine has done it twice in 2 years.

Hmmm...it was 40F when I did the hiccup. Could be something random...not sure what causes it.
