Trail Tech Vapor and mount
Im looking around on Ebay for a Trail Tech Vapor digital read out and I cant tell if these seemingly identical listings are in fact differnt. They all say universal but have specific compatibility charts, few of which list the 2007 Ninja 250 (ex250r).
Basically, Im looking for a trail tech vapor and the the protector (with the indicators) for my 2007 ninja 250. Are they all the same? Will I just have to rewire things a bit for the protector to display the signal/neutral/highbeam indicators? Lastly, how are people mounting these things? I was going to see if I could find someone to custom fab a mount for me but if there is something premade I'll tcheck that out. |

I've been considering the Vapor if I ever take the fairings off - so curious to see the photos as well.
Another member, with one of the nicest naked Ninja's I've seen, posted a good mount here: http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showp...5&postcount=53 |

Here's one I forget if I have this in conjunction with the piece attaching to the handlebar which is basically just a plastic clamp that goes onto your handlebars with an arm a couple inches in length where you mount the gauge. I'll take a pic tomorrow

Here's everything that comes with it. See the handlebar arms I'm talking about?

Yeah, the Kosos are nice, just a lot more money to put into an old(er) bike. Your setup looks pretty good though - balances out the brake fluid reservoir.

That's what came with mine, in addition to the plastic handlebar mount. It's what I used for my steering lock mount, but you can easily make up something similar from sheet aluminum or PC board, even just a couple of tabs (painted black) to run from under the clip-ons to the back of the gauge. Just make sure the aluminum is thick enough so the gauge doesn't wobble from the bike's movement.
That's what I did on my old Suzuki: |
