Umm, the battery would be the obvious first check. People who don't start their bike for a long time typically would use a battery tender to keep it charged. If you look at your manual, you will see that there are a number of days that it takes to drain the battery from full charge to zero.

What sound is being made when you try to start the bike? Is it even turning over?

Crank the bike for a few seconds without the choke. Then with the choke, then with the choke and hold the throttle open, then only with the choke on. Usually if you then keep trying it, for a few seconds at a time, the bike will start to "try" to start. After maybe 7-8 tries, it will probably start. I just did the same thing, started both bikes after sitting for 4-5 weeks (the fuel injected cbr fired after two key cycles and then a couple engine revolutions). The fuel system needs to fill (lines, carbs) and so you gotta coax it along. You could also remove the air filter and give it a small shot of starting fluid to nudge it along.

If its Cali crap gas, then your pilot jets are probably clogged. I start my bikes every week, or I get the same thing. You'll need to pull the carbs out and clean them.
