Oddest part failures

Over the last few years I have gone through my fair share of parts and have found that stocking up on spares from odder breaks is generally a good idea

Most recently I have suffered a master cylinder failure due to a crash, it no longer held a seal, as well as a snapped heim bolt from the shifter linkage.

Who else has had odd part failures and or what parts do you stock up on in case of failure.

Don't leave home without 'em...

A whole lot of the bracing/fastening/support for my fairings is made of these.

a clip on bar
xtra levers
foot pegs
and the most often used are the threaded rods for the shift linkage

here is a odd one
what ever they spray inside the water pipes [looks like paint] flaked off and clogged the radiator. cleaned the old ones with a bore brush, orderd new ones, but the new ones have the same finnish inside, afraid to put them on, so i bring them to the track as spares.

It's probably e-coating, paint that's bonded electrolytically.
