To make a very long stry short, I have designed a table that is for sale on the Ideacious website. The table reached production stage a few months before christmas.
Every pre-orderer (including myself) paid 1450$ and expected everything to be good.
When I was to approve everything for production, the materials was of worse quality than previously agreed upon etc.
We agreed to roll back the product to pre-order status again...

Josh seems like a very nice guy when you talk or write with him, but apparently he is not very good with handling other peoples money!

To my knowledge I am the only one of about 12-14 people that has received full refund. some has received 400-600$ and some nothing.
This has been going on for about 8 months!!!

He has come up with so many excuses about how he was too busy and how there was a special backend programming problem etc etc etc.

To this day he still has "available now" status on my table! I do not know if he is still taking orders and keeping the money.

Please beware of this man and do not trust him to handle your money.

NinjaZX6R, I hope you get your product or your money!

best regards

Julian Kyhl

Thank you Julian. It's funny you say that since he is still making excuses and hasn't replied to my last e-mail in a week. The kit I ordered has yet to be shipped. I'm going on 3 months since my order.

I tried to read on reviews regarding his Ideacious website and his business but wasn't able to find much. Reason why I ordered this kit is because he seems like a very nice person and has a registered business. Also, there's online magazines that has posted his 31BLK kit.

Hopefully I get my product and not get ripped off. If I do, I will make sure to post on every motorcycle forums about my experience.

I was looking at his site after reading all of these recent developments.

He is "selling" thousands of products.

But every item I click on is in "pre-sale" status

it seems a bit like a scam.

and after reading his different sites…. he seems to be living a bit of a self important fantasy of success.

The problem with that is - taking peoples money and not fulfilling your commitment to them as customers, makes you a thief.

I hope it works out. Maybe if there is enough negative publicity out there he will have to start remedying his dishonest business practices.

I agree. I hope he does come through on his words. If not, I will have to take the loss of $1700 (will have to contact credit card company) and spread the word of my experience with his company. 3 months for a kit is unacceptable if you ask me. Even kits from Japan and Indonesia takes less time than that.

I went ahead and posted on as much websites I could find regarding the advertisement of the kit. I will change my comments once I receive the kit. 3 months wait time is bad business no matter how you put it.

"I ordered the 31BLK kit from Joshau Brasse. It's going on 3 months and it has yet to be shipped. There are other people who's complaining about his website Ideacious regarding orders. Hopefully I will either receive the product I ordered or get a full refund if Joshua Brasse is too busy and can't fulfill my order. Through my dealings with him he seems like a stand up guy but has yet to come through."

^ can't vouch for what this guy says but it all sounds vaguely familiar.

i said it in post #47 and Ill say it again, be careful you need to quite being so understanding you are only setting yourself up for being taken advantage of. He has 5 guys threatening to seek legal action on him and 5 guys who say..."oh no worries man, i can wait" who do you think he is making sure they get their stuff?

You seriously want to pull out NOW. You should have pulled out 2 months ago when the excuses started.

You need to get your money, or it will be gone. If people start suing him then he has no money to give you. Get it?

You don't want to be out $1,700. I don't care if you got your bike for free, that's a lot of money and you should NOT just write it off.

Seriously man, if you haven't already, as soon as you read this comment go and call the guy up and demand a refund, send him an e-mail(s) and send him texts, etc. Get as much on record as you can and tell him that you will take him to court. He's obviously a scam artist, literally every other person here see's it.

I "really" hope you get your money back. But I regret to say I won't be surprised if you don't.

Good luck my friend, I hate to see you get worked over like this.

Yes, I already did what you said above and started to post my experience on websites that is advertising his kit. If he comes through with the kit I will go back later and update. I'll call him up tomorrow as it's late now. If he doesn't work things out with me I'll have to end up contacting my credit card and talk to a lawyer.

Sites I've posted (Just noting it down so I can come back later and make a comment update).

Here I am asking him the status of my order as well as asking for a picture (for proof and peace of mind) on June 9th. Notice how he immediately stops responding to my emails when I ask for proof that he is in fact working on the kit I already paid for.

So he ignores me for almost 3 weeks. He might be busy and don't have time to get on the computer right? Think again. Here he is on social media promoting his 31BLK kit on June 24th. No replies to my emails.

If he has production issues like he claims, then he should put a HOLD on new orders until he resolves his production issues. You don't keep taking orders (people's money) when you have production issues. If I've been waiting for 3 months and still counting, how long will people that's putting in new orders have to wait? This is TERRIBLE business practice if in fact it's a legitimate business he's running and not a scam.

Update: So it takes being an ASSHOLE to get a response these days?! After I bombarded all the sites that's posting article of the 31BLK kit with my situation I finally get a reply back from Joshua Brasse. Hopefully he follows through. His kit looks awesome (that's subjective) but the customer service needs to improve. I was being totally nice and understanding at first.

His email to me today and my reply.

I really hope you get your kit! maybe this is where he put the money he still owes at least 7 people I know personally.
He managed to postpone and excuse his way out of everything for 8 months!
The reason I have waited this long warning about him on my website etc. was to not screw it up for everyone he owed refunds. We should have done like NinjaZX6R123 from day one, and maybe then everyone would have kept their money.

I have so many mails where he promises this and that next week, in a few days and so on. time and time again he breaks his promises and come up with some BS.
He still claims that a technical issue prevents him from removing the "available now" tag on my product at Ideacious.com... hard to believe that a technical issue can take 8 months to resolve.

anyways once again, do not let go or remove your posts before you get your stuff or my guess is that noyhing is going to happen.

best regards

Julian

I agree. I don't buy his excuses. What I asked him to change would only take maximum 1 week.

7 days (changes) + 10 days (to ship) = 17 days

I waited 90 days. 90 - 17 = 73 days. What was he doing on those 73 days?

Julian can you post the link to your website regarding your issue? I'd like to read on it more.

Julian didn't order the 31BLK kit. He actually is one of the inventor for Joshua's Ideacious website. He designed a table.

Get your money back. I don't like seeing someone get burned. This guy is just trying to tell you what you want to hear and you replying with those things doesn't help. Honestly, telling him that you support him makes it worse for you. I'm sure this guy probably didn't mention that he is selling his kit now for 1200; you're still paying full price with no discounts for your ridiculous delay. Also the model bike he used for display, he's trying to sell off. That to me is a sign he's doing poorly with this kit. Dude, bite the bullet, get the money back and just custom fabricate with someone local.

He also tried to sell of a prototype of my table in kinda of a shady way to one of my relatives that he owed and still owes refund money.
The problem is with these crowdfunding projects, that it can take so long after production starts till the product is finished, that you are no longer insured by PayPal which is how we paid. most credit cards also have a time limit for when the fraud insurance expires.

Actually the kit is still the same price. 1200 is for without the seat function. He already sold off his proto-type. I will see if my order is shipped out tomorrow. If not, then I will ask for full refund and talk to my credit card company.

Thanks.
Glad you got his attention.

The nice guy attitude gets you taken advantage of.
If you don't get the tracking number in half a week, start emailing him on a daily basis till he does.

Talk to your credit card company now! Do Not Wait! You can cancel the credit card company compliant when the kit is intalled with zero issues.

This guys sounds like scum and may give you some crap product. Anyone can sound legit - talk is cheap, his actions speak louder than anything so far.

That's terrible. So he still collects money with no product?

Good advice. Half a week? I've ran out of patience. If I don't get the tracking number by end of day tomorrow I will open a case with my credit card company at the same time demand a refund from Joshua.

I have no way of knowing if he does collect money, but it seems somewhat wrong to still have it for sale no matter what.

It's funny that you mention that because I just double checked and he modified his ad. Also it seems to me that he lied about his prototype because he is selling it now. I actually saw it in person a few months back and I hate to say it, but it didn't get great comments on it. Good luck

Just tell the credit card company to be on standby, I am sure they will.
The only reason he may have finally caved in and sent you a reply is that you had started to make some noise by posting on so many forums because let's face it, forums get people talking specially if there are no major customer reviews out there.
Stay on it as simple as that.
Also, it maybe because of the aforementioned reason, he may have sent you a kit that he wasn't sending out because it wasn't up to the mark[not defending him, just saying that the kit maybe...just maybe not upto the standard he himself set for kits to be]. So double check the kit when it gets there and don't sing his praises till you see everything is okay.
Time for war

Not sure which one he's selling now but the one at the show he sold already on kiijja or something because I saw the ad myself. It was for the kit already installed on the 250. That was the display prototype kit and he has since made some changes. Can you link me to the site you see him selling it?

Agreed. That's why in my email I said I won't change my comments on those sites until I receive the kit to make sure the quality is some what up to standards. That's if I ever receive anything.

Thanks. This is the new design he has (minor changes and different material). 1200 for the kit only, and 495 optional bracket seat. So full kit comes to 1700 which I paid. He is selling the kit only. The one he sold was the old kit that he used to display for his shows which he sold along with the bike as well.

I'm not defending him as I have yet to receive my kit. I'll update everyone tomorrow if I get the tracking # or not.

File a complaint w/ the CC company NOW! Once it's in their system you're covered if things get worse. The CC company may even light a fire under his a** to get it done.

You forgot the link where he's selling the kit with the bike. This is the new kit. So he has time to build a new kit, install it on a 250, and try to sell it yet he doesn't have time to send out my kit? Makes no sense.

Planning on doing just that this evening if he doesn't send out the kit I ordered today and give me a tracking number.
