I thought some of you might like to hear from someone who has put one of these on their bike. i have had mine for about 2 weeks now. I was quite hesitant with putting it on the bike as i had no idea what i was doing but in the end it was extremely easy and everything just fits into place. I only want it as a brake light so therefore didn't have to much around with any of the flasher stuff. In total it took me about 30 minutes and i think it looks great.

They will fit. As long as you don't go crazy, there's nothing wrong with having a few goodies waiting for your new bike - I did

any progress on the pics?
Can you elaborate on what you had to cut on the fender, bungee clips, plate? Was that part of your fender elim to get rid of the stock blinkers?
What was the process for installing the light - there have been some questions...

Thanks!

Hold the fone people!!! Im not understanding why people are having to cut fenders and so on.. This is a direct replacement part. (identical to the OEM rear light.) no need for ANY CUTTING!!!! I installed this on my bike without a hitch! as for the indicator lights 2 wires only need to be fitted. Each the blue and yellow wires go to the hot side of the indicator cable. the earth is left blank. Cos it takes the earth from the black wire at the back of tail light. any Q's please ask. im more than happy 2 help.

Sure you can, just splice the 2 wires, blue and the yellow into the green of each side. If you do that, u dont need any resistors or new flasher cans. because the load from the stock lights will do the job.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about cutting his fender off, or "fender eliminator."

I believe the original plan for this FIRST shipment was 15 orders. There will be more to come as the number of tail lights in stock increases. I think this round was to see how much interest there would be ya know.

Jason is correct - Carl has enough stock to do 15 right now - if there's interest, we'll do another one after he has stock again!

Chris - since you're in Guam, you might be better off contacting Carl directly anyway - I doubt me shipping it to you there would save you much

Something just occurred to me. I've got stock flashers up front, but will have LEDs in the back. Should I be replacing the relay or not?
Or should I stop being a chump and get some flush LEDs for the front end and solve the problem that way? :-P

If you keep the stock front turn signals, all you need to do is replace the flasher relay. If you go with LEDs for all 4 turn signals, you need to do more than just replace the flasher relay (and I'm not sure what it is that you have to do ).

We sell the Acumen LED Universal Relay and it handles 1-100 LED's. Just makes sure you buy a relay that has a similair spec.

just a not for anyone looking to have theres tinted/smoked its a real easy thing to do. go to your local hobby store and get some Pactra racing finish paint its for r/c car bodies. the part number is rc294 they call it window tint, ive been using this on tailight of cars for years. just remember to lightly sand the lens and clean it well and apply the paint in thin coats till you reach the shade you like.

They should hopefully go out on Monday - we have one more day to get that last order. Carl tells me it will take about a week to get here, and I will send them out same-day via priority mail, should take 1-3 days on this end
