Kawasaki Center Lift Paddock Stand

NEW paddock lift. It safely and securely lifts both wheels off the ground. Very easy to use and is great for cleaning, storage and working on the bike. This stand now features a locking pin that locks your bike to the stand so can never fall off the stand. The Kit comes complete with two bushing that are installed on the bike. It is available in two versions. One with wheels and one without wheels.

It is available for the:
2003-06 ZX 636
2009-2010 ZX6R
2008-12 Ninja 250R
1999-05 ZRX 1100/1200

At 340 I might have to jump on one. I live in an apartment complex and this would be great.

Since the 300 frame is the same in the necessary area afaik, won't this also fit the new model?

My garage is a narrow one car width and the track bike is always getting in the way.

So I just ordered one with wheels. Will post pics and a review when it arrives.

Awesome, will look forward to your pics and review. That thing sure looks like an "investment."

I'd love one of these so I could do the Batcave thing and easily preposition my bike to launch in the morning. Thing is, I'm not sure I could actually turn it around while the car's parked in there, which kind of defeats the purpose.

Right now I do a tedious back-and-fill to get the bike into its spot at night, then repeat in the morning and back it out.

Must have, I have a two car garage and with my wife's Traverse, my Silverado, and the motorcycle in there, it's a tight fit! Right now I have it on a regular rear tire stand so it stands upright so I can back my truck in without the bike leaning. It's hell getting it on the stand and off the stand by myself without dropping the bike. This is the answer I've been looking for.

I purchased the abba stand early last season, the concept is similar to the motomfg stand. It makes oil changes/winter storage/regular maintenance a lot easier to do now.

You know the wood block trick, right?

You know how the lift wants to rotate out of line if you try to lift the bike while it's resting on the side stand? The left hook engages but the right hook is nowhere near the spool.

Put a block of wood under the kickstand foot. The bike will be more upright and it's VERY easy to lift in a straight line.

Wrapping a velcro tie around the front brake lever also helps to stabilize things. The bike doesn't try to run away from you.

I've never had any difficulty lowering the bike safely. Just remember to put the kickstand down first, have the bars turned to the left and stand to the right side of the bike just in case. With the bars pointed to the left the bike will naturally want to tip that way.

Well that seems like an obvious solution to the problem now that you've said it. Thanks for the info, I've got several small pieces of wood I could use for this.

That is super nice! I like how you can roll your bike into a corner or against a wall after you get it up in the air. I might have to get one someday, they look really handy.

Are there any down-sides to this stand (other than cost)?
Can you do ALL maintenance with this stand (will it do EVERYTHING)?

Sometimes its a little tricky to get the pins in.

I mostly got it to move bikes around especially the 250 with the kick stand removed. Its also useful for rear arm maintenance that can't be done with a rear stand.

But I still prefer to use a front stand/rear stand possible for maintenance because the two stand combo feels more secure than lift.

Those are very similar to the bursig stand.

Here is an even cheaper version, however they don't have a version that fits the ninja 250:

I think I had hoped it would raise it higher, to be used like a lift table. But now that I see it in action, I'm thinking it may not be the most stable thing to raise the CG that much on this type of stand.

it seems that someone handy with a welder could easily make a similar stand.

I'm actually considering the ultimate poor-mans' solution.... making a wooden ramp and raised platform. It's not as versatile, but might make maintenance less physically fatiguing.

I see what you mean now. I thought you meant this type of stand in itself would be bad. Yeah, a higher up version would be kinda scary. I'm in the same boat. Crawling around on the floor is getting old very quickly.

I don't like the idea of a permanent raised platform though. It will make it harder to get the bike up there, even more so if the bikes isn't running. That, and there is always the risk of it falling over. I'm pretty good at loading bikes into the back of pickup trucks by letting the bike use it's own power and me walking along side, up a second ramp. Pushing a bike up a ramp by myself onto a smaller platform just seems like a bad idea.

There is always a lift like the handy lift $1000-$1500, http://www.handyindustries.com/produ...ts-accessories
Or a knock off for about $800 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-Lift-/281104554594
Or the harbor freight lift for around $300 (when they are on sale). http://www.harborfreight.com/automot...8892-8495.html

You can always build your own out of whatever. Lots of those around.

Me thinks we understand each other.

There are a lot of great ideas there. In the end I'll likely end up getting a HF rig on impulse when I find it on sale... someday. This would have to be at a local store though, because that's A LOT of shipping. After seeing the cost of some of the DIYs, it's easier to justify the cost of a production unit.

The Center Lift looks interesting, but I need something more like a table.

I'm planning to build something this summer, and have collected a few photos off the internet for ideas -

Yeah, it depends on what you have available material wise. If I had a welder, I could easily build something for cheaper than a production unit.

Harbor freight always has 25% off coupons too. Easy to find online, print it out and take it to the store. The store can also order you one and you just come get it later. Most stores will let you unpack them right there and help you load it up in the back of a truck. That way you aren't stuck with the crate to get rid of.

Hey dino, if it's possible, could you take some pics of the pins/adapter plate for the 250/300?

I'd greatly appreciate it!
