Cool video on Bias-Ply vs Radial Tires by Michelin
I thought this was a cool video explaining the differences between the 2 types of tires. I'm replacing my IRCs with Michelin Street radials and was interested in the technical differences between the 2 types. There are some great reasons to switch to radials.
I'm looking forward to switching to radials. My 1st new gen 250 had Bias, 1st 300 Bias, and now the 2nd 300 will get the upgrade to Radials. Can hardly wait to see how it changes the bike. |

I heard about this. Kind of scary. The sidewalls were cracking or something like that right? Hope it was a bad batch - that's what I heard about the Australia situation. Do you have other info or I am wrong, etc.?

They were supposed to be in on the 5th. Now pushed back to middle of September. I canceled my order for now. I'll buy them someday, but going to beat on the IRCs for a bit. |

So basically according to the 4 points at the end of the video the radials are good for everything that the 250 and 300 aren't.

Hence why they say that bikes are designed from the tires up. The 250 and 300 were designed to have bias not radial. Does having radial on our bikes hurt or endanger you? That I don't know enough about the physics to say otherwise
