Bike won't start
My 09' 250 has been sitting at my parents house outside for the past 5 years and I finally was able to go out there and pick it up. Lots of problems going on but I stripped it down, cleaned it, stripped and cleaned the carbs, new fitters, etc... I got it back together and put a new battery in and when I turned the key, only the engine light and oil light came on, no fuel pump noise and when I push the stater nothing happens. I checked all the fuses and they were good.

If the lights don't dim or go out completely (indicating a weak battery) when you hit the starter button it sounds like a safety switch is stopping it from cranking - https://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Unders...afety_switches

well first off i'm retarded. The 250 is a vacuum fed carb so no fuel pump. smh. It turns out it was the clutch switch not fully engaging/disengaging. Bypassed the switch and the button works. My petcock leaks like crazy from the little pin hole in the bottom of the plastic spacer. Any one know what that hole is and why it is all of a sudden leaking? thanks
