I started scraping my foot there with the same bp I had in that pic, I think it's time for rearset adjusters

A couple pics from the MCRA event at Hallett this weekend. I ended up crashing (overconfidence is a bitch) in the first session (promise it didnt happen trying to get my elbow down, csmith ), so I was a little timid and had to work hard to regain the confidence I lost. Ended up with a 3rd place finish in the race on Saturday and got a WIN on Sunday. Despite the crash, it was a fun weekend!

Getting closer to getting that elbow down, though!

Thanks, man! That means a lot coming from you as youve definitely been one of my inspirations! Just hoping I can keep it up, now, as I am actually leading the championship after collecting the win!

I appreciate all of the support from the ninjette.org community! You guys were definitely riding with me this weekend, whether you knew it, or not!

^^^ I seriously am not sure I could be more jealous of the IMI place. I google maps'd it and about had a fit. $40 a day for a 1 mile track big enough to ride a full size bike on and $15 for dirt/flat track. I would go nuts for a place like that near me in central Texas.

ya many people who live in colorado don't seem to realize how great this place is. the go kart track is awesome to ride low displacement road race bikes and supermotos on. the go karts they rent are the fastest rental karts in colorado and are really fun. eventually i plan to buy a 125 shifter kart to drive in-between my sessions on the ninja 250 (they take turns with karts and motorcycles). i hear a lot of the good motocross riders complain cause the track isn't prepped everyday. but i am not the best motocrosser so its always been good enough for me. the almost 1/4 mile dirt track i race flat track on is considered to be one of the fastest short tracks in the mid west and the races are always really good. i bought a year pass for $550 and got unlimited riding all year. it just expired on 7/26 sadly. i might get another one but am not sure cause i plan to start riding the ninja 250 on the full size race tracks more often, to get ready for the race season next year

i think what went wrong was i chopped the throttle mid corner you can hear it during the slow mo. and then instantly picked the throttle back up maybe too much. but the front end was what lost traction. in the video you can see the bars begin turning as i start the crash. my bike slid into the pits where your suppose to exit the track haha.

Here is me at NC Bike last month. After looking at all these pics I need to get my upper body down. I could also make my left to right transitions much smoother.

It's all good, it's a good pic and there's no glaring errors in your bp either. Just refinement left. You can run a good pace at nccar with bp like that

These pics only show moderate angles. I was far enough over many times to rub the fairing on the track in right turns and drag the kickstand in left turns. The kickstand is the next part to go once I get a swingarm stand for it. I need to stiffen up the butter soft suspension. In the second and third pic you can see how much the suspension is compressed and how the bike is just about dragging.

You wouldn't need to touch the bike at all if you'd work a bit on your body position. Looks like you're hardly moving off at all... helmet squarely behind the windscreen, butt in the middle of the seat...

In the pic where you're side-by-side with that Yamaha look at the bike angle. He's inside of you and likely going about the same speed. Yet his bike has less lean angle... because he's moved his body. He's not even being aggressive about it.

The bike can certainly benefit from mods, but polishing your technique is free and it will do you a lot more good over the long run.

Y'know, Mike, if you come to Palmer on August 10/11 you'll get to meet THE one and only csmith12. And sirref. And bigballsofpaint. And ducati999. And me.

It's worth playing hooky for. I hear there's bird flu going around (cough cough) I'm sure lots of people will have to call in sick that week.

You know you want to.....

As of right now attendance is very light. Total of 26 bikes on track per day, split into three groups....

Y'know, every time I look at that awesome overhead view of Palmer I can't help but notice that the silver car at the bottom (I think it's a Honda S2000) is way off line.

Four hours is nothing for a track like this. It's just east of Springfield.

Great guys, and you'll learn tons. Classroom session included, plenty of coaching if you want it. Totally worth doing.
@csmith12, @Sirref, @Bigballsofpaint, @Ducati999 (and his spouse) and I will all be there.

Prices go up today (late signup), but just so you know, attendance is pretty light and Tony just might be willing to work with you. I make no promises because I don't work for TTD. Just hoping to get another forum member up there and help to fill the ranks a little bit.

@ttd: Tony, FYI should you wish to reach out to @Mike K

That's an incredible looking track. Unfortunately I won't be going this time. Short staffed at work so I can't work a schedule change.

Can you camp at the track?
