Funny how some see it, as if anyone NOT going at least 10 mph over the speed limit is a danger to everyone else, while constantly ignoring the FACT that the speed LIMIT, is just that, the limit, not a starting point but and ending point.

Do you start each credit card out at $10 over the limit?

On interstates you will see speed minimums but I have never seen one elsewhere.

I do not think that was target fixation. Just a scooter going way too fast into a blind corner. He was riding off the road on the outside of the white line when he saw the bicyclists,

Totally the motorcyclist's fault.

Lotta good "protected by law" did the cyclists. Not trying to dis anyone, but the idea that a law, written on paper should "protect" anyone is insane. Laws can only provide a penalty after the fact or a disincentive to commit an act. A law can do nothing to prevent a person from willfully violating it.

I still can't figure out why the biker plowed into them, he didn't seem to be going so fast as to not be able to avoid them. Must've just been target fixation for sure.

Yep. Look where you want to go, not at the thing you're trying to avoid. And keep your eyes moving, regardless.

Right about here, Edwards Corner is the big U-turn: Google Maps. There's some ripples in pavement on exit going uphill, so you can't stay leaned over entire corner, have to stand up last 3rd or so. Also some bumps going downhill.

Yep, that's the one. About 2 miles down the road from The Rock Store. I've never seen it as green as the picture above!

Oh, ok, the top of the Snake. Gotcha. I thought it looked like it could be California but I couldn't place it directly. And yeah, when was it that green?

But I'm always cautious enough around those situations.

Ah Kenpachi is right haha
The biker is at fault. He was obviously playing "boy racer" by the way he cut the apex of the curve and, uh oh, two bicycles where he didn't expect them to be. When I was a kid I always rode my bicycle against the traffic. If a car came at me I could see it and ride the gravel on the shoulder until the car passed and then get back on the pavement. I never trusted a car pulling up behind me and I had no rear view mirrors. I didn't and wouldn't ride a bicycle with a silly helmet - you woosies. And yes, I actually leave the house when it's raining with no umbrella and boots.
