Have not done it for this engine.

If you can see the seal (Kawasaki part 92051) you should be able to pry it out and then reset the new one in place using a piece of pipe to tap it in.

Exterior diameter and face are metal covered with a thin layer of neoprene, while the interior diameter is a soft lip of neoprene with an annular ring to put pressure over the shaft. Be careful not to damage that lip for the new seal while sliding it over the shaft. The old seal can be destroyed if needed for removal. Be careful not to damage the surface of the shaft or the crankcase at the seal areas while pulling the old one out.

Check this for a reference:

I changed the shifter seal on my CB550. Your best bet is to try screwing a screw in it, then pulling it out. It's fairly difficult and will require some muscle. Make sure you tap in the new one evenly.

I have used Mountain Dew's method many times. U usually tape up the shaft, drill a 1/16" hole in the seal. screw in a sheetrock screw and I hook to my slide hammer with a wire. bam and its out.

you must excercise care when drilling the hole, the bit will want to walk. go slow with low pressure and you are golden.

alternatively you can split the motor and push out from the inside...
