Hand grips?

Which ones do you guys like? Mine are pretty worn, and I've been wrenching on them hard enough to break both of them loose and they both spin on the bars.

Instead of re-gluing them, I'd like to just replace them. What's the general consensus here?

Thanks.

I recently tried some oury grips and I really like them. They are nice and fat, a little cushy but not too soft. I've heard they wear very well.

Did you mean Dury? If so, then yes, your spot on!

@Everyone - If you get your front end "feel" through the bars, these may not be the grips for you. I feel they dull the "unneeded" feedback/vibration just about perfectly.

^^^ I'm looking to get as much road feel through the grips as possible.

I upgraded to aluminum pegs which gave a good increase in engine feel through the feet, and would like the same with the grips. More in touch with the bike = better idea of how close to it's limits it is.

Looking for grips that are going to translate as much road feel into my hands as possible!

Thanks guys, point me in the right direction and I will get them ordered and on the way for a much needed service and re-build.

Really contemplating changing the front fork oil while I'm getting this involved.. time to dig up old threads.

Yes and no, there is a balance... too much feel is a bad thing, too little feel is a bad thing. Between you, your gloves and your grips, you will find what works for you.

Oury all the way, baby. If you want to keep your bar ends, you'll need to trim the end out of the grips, but it's no big deal.

Those oury look a little thick, worried I might not get much feedback from the bike..

I wear dainese pro metal gauntlet gloves, might be discontinued but pretty run of the mill gauntlet race glove.

Currently worn smooth oem grips.

Csmith, what do you run?

As an aside... go ahead and tell me it's stupid if that pleases you, but it should be noted that I ride most of the time with in-ear-studio-monitor headphones and music. So it's very very difficult to hear the bike, literally impossible if I crank up the headphone amp.

I have no problem with feeling feedback. I also have a similar glove (dainese steel core) and again, no issue. I think they look thicker in the pictures on oury's website than they actually are. Though to be fair, since you've literally smoothed out your own grips, anything will be a little thicker.

This is what I'm coming up with. Can anyone confirm fitment?

Throttle is 1", clutch is 7/8" -- correct? Are these the right ones?

Thanks.
