you will not be able to keep the CA box on the left side of the bike.

changing a ca spec 08-12 ninja 250 to a 49 spec

I had to do this conversion since i decided to keep the tank.
Ill break it down so its easiest for someone with the same case.
1. Remove the box, separator, valve, hoses etc.
2. Replace the 3-way splitter with a 2-way splitter so the carb connects to the tank.
3. Keep that 3/4" hose and the gold keeper and connect it to the original location
4. Buy a hex bolt 1/2" x 1" and a 3/8" - 7/8" hose clamp at home depot
5. Insert the hose clamp on the 3/4" hose and insert the bolt
6. Tighten the clamp
7. At autozone buy vacuum elbow assortment for 5 dollars, use the 2-way splitter
8. Enjoy

It's also covered on the twiki. The '06 I bought had the hardware removed, but they didn't tie up the hoses properly.
