10 motorized two-wheel vehicles in the garage, I've got my 1990 Mazda 323 hatchback that has over 260k mi. and a 98 Mazda pickup with little over 115k mi.

Very clean, PO was meticulous about every little detail on the bike. I rushed to see the bike before the hurricane just within few hours of the ad on local Craigslist. Snatched it up as soon as I saw the garage of PO and the amount of spare parts and maintenance records that comes with the Nighthawk. Sometimes, you have to act fast to get the deals.

Well, I've done it again.. instead of studying for my exam tomorrow, I surf the local Craigslist and went to check out another bike that I don't need..

It didn't follow me home, but within 6 hours of it being posted on Craigslist, I put a deposit on it for the purchase, it was simply too good of a deal to pass.

I feel like BMW is the only company that really takes asymmetry to heart.

Also I just realized you had a Lightweight Deep Carbon wheel there in your very first picture. How do you like those wheels?

Good eye, I had those back in the late 90's, plowed the front wheel into a SUV that crossed double yellow line to turn from opposite side of the road at 30+ mph.. busted wheel, now it serves as momento:

cracked titanium frame, but the 1" carbon fork survived:

The Lightweight wheels were great, a bit un-nerving in long descents.
The lack of rotational mass is really noticable once you stop pedaling, they slow down just as quick as they can accelerate.. if not faster.

Finally got the Beamer home tonight..

$3750, probably less than some Ninja 250, only 72xx mi. on her, completely stock (unmolested) with heated grips and ABS.

I see Ohlins and BlackHole exhaust in the near future.

Clear title, clean bike.. I'm the third owner now, 1st owner had many Beamers; this one didn't get ridden much.
2nd owner has 2 small children, not much of time to ride and moving onto vintage Honda for 2-wheel.

Bike even cames with cases.. got it out in the daylight to take some decent pics.:

Engine output doesn't feel as powerful as my previous R1150RS, but seems to rev up quicker.

Alot more vibration than I remembered of my R1150RS, too.
Sitting at traffic light I can see the whole instument panel shaking like a Harley.

Got to take a weight mesurement, with cases and about 25 lb. of stuff in them, the bike weighs in at 560 lb., dude standing be the window is outside of the scale area:

Put 130+ mi. on it yesterday.

That BMW would look insane if you left the top fairings on, and took off the lower ones.

Only insure 3 bikes at a time, most of them cost less than $80 a year, insured over 15 yrs, zero claims. Just switch insurance coverage from bike to bike with my phone.

They all get ridden regularly, put away wet without wash, none are collector's item..

Last year, I bought me a collector's item found roadside for cheap.

It's like a Guzzi, but with Honda reliability..

Found one of these lying in a field behind my girlfriend's uncle's farm. Actually wasn't in too bad shape cosmetically, but had a lot of parts missing, Wanted one ever since (just because).

I've ridden one of those before. Motor is smooth as glass, and plenty of power. Comfortable riding position. Brake feel is wonky and weird. They are linked, and changed the ratio/linkage a few times during the bike's lifetime to make it less weird.

Picked up my 03 XX, as advertised: almost stock (aftermarket chrome barend plugs, BMW grips), never been down, 137xx mi. Front tire needs replacement, rear tire may have a few rides left, chain kinda rusty, sprockets look decent.
Me found good deal on XX again:
