Give the guys at Revzilla a call. Give them your dimensions and they'll suit you right. Luckily, Revzilla is local and I can walk in to their store (and they pay sales tax for me!). That said, the salesman took a look at me and got my size right on the first try. That goes for shoes, helmet, jacket, even with the size variances among manufacturers. Furthermore, with Revzilla, they pay the shipping for the first exchange. Double check that tho...
I know $15 (plus tax) seems like a fair amount of change, but it might also be worth it to support your local dealer. Who knows they might price match. Won't hurt to ask, and you can keep you dollars in the community. |

Nope, they don't. I had to exchange my first pair of sidi st's for a size down. I had to take care of return shipping myself, but the next pair arrived next day.

Currently, Dr Marten leather boots (the classic 1460s in womens). I'm still finalizing my decision for purchase and hoping for an end of season sale or something.
These are the current winners: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...ose-Boots.aspx I've tried and returned some cheapy Bilt ones from Cycle Gear, and Vega Merge. Both were way wide, and non-adjustable for my feet and ankles. Boots are supposed to be close to the skin around the ankle, right? Not roomy so you can wiggle all around?? Annoying because I've never had this problem before. |

Do you have a cycle gear
Do you have a cyclegear near you? If so go try on the Frank Thomas boot in a Euro 41/UK 7 and see if it fits with out being to tight. If so I will give you the boots. You just pay shipping. If you lived not far from Nevada I would ride out and meet you and hand them over in person.

Cyclegear no longer carries the Frank Thomas brand. It has been replaced by Bilt and Sedici (both crap, IMO).

TCX X-Action waterproof boots
http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-x-action-boots I'm new to the bike scene and at first these were a little stiff but after breaking them in, I love them. I mostly commute 99% of the time so these are perfect for wearing with jeans. It doesn't make me look like a power ranger |

A* S MX-2 for Touring ?
I just picked the S MX-2 boots from Motorcycle Superstore but now returning them as they are 1 size too big.
http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...T.ac=SLIsearch Are these 3/4 boots good enough in protection for touring. I have not yet been to the track. I do not want my ankle in pieces if i crash! Does the S MX-2 offer sufficient ankle protection? |

Cortech Latigo
For those considering the Cortech Latigo's, i've been wearing mine for most of the summer now. I'm asian so have issues with boots because I have narrow heels and calves.
I am a D width foot though, and find the Cortechs are roomy around the toes. One thing to note is they are a little narrow above the ankles when wearing leathers inside. I have to fiddle with my leathers to get the boot zipped up, once done up they are very secure. If you have large calves definitely try these on as I think you will have issues if you intend to wear leathers inside the boot. In my opinion the boots are a sport boot only. They look like they have a lot of support laterally, but they don't when compared to a boot that has a proper exoskeleton. The joint mechanism seems more a way to prevent hyperextension of the ankle. In short then, I would use these as a commuting boot for good protection or sport riding but not really a good choice for track duty. Hope this helps. |

A pair of adidas running shoes for the street, as I have not been able to find a decent breathable shoe for everyday purposes. As they have to be very breathable, and wearable off the bike for walking. I know, I am looking for suitable riding boots. . .
For the track I have a pair of TCX Competizione RS, Only downfall with these is they are tuff to zip up, and I have a thin calf, and ankle. I can't imagine a guy/gal on the chubby side getting these bad boys zipped up.

I can't remember the name of my riding shoes, but they're black A* ankle-high boots. I do realize they will not provide the best protection. :/
I used to have some A* knee high boots. They were beautiful, but I returned them after completing the MSF. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $300+ on boots, but that was actually a good idea.

Why does Puma's website not even acknowledge that they make motorcycle boots/footwear? They have a "motorsports" category but it only has 23 Ferrari licensed normal shoes.
