5 Action Cams - Where to mount them?

I have 5 action cams, im wondering where the best place to mount them will be?

I was thinking.

1- helmet
2
3
4- another bike pointing in my direction in front of me
5 - another bike pointing in my direction behind me

should i even think about a 6th or 7th camera spot?

what would be your ultimate camera mount setup?

Posts: A lot.
1. Helmet facing forward: Mounted top or side
2. Butt cam facing you: Mounted on the rear cowl
3. Left side facing rear: Mounted on the passenger peg
4. Right side facing forward: Mounted on the front right fairing so the front wheel is in view
5. Handlebar/front cowl facing you: Mounted so it captures your face and one of your hands.

A remote mic mounted near the exhaust maybe in a pocket of clean air underneath the tail to pick up exhaust sounds.

This is what I would do if I could afford 5 gopros.

Some other mounting locations:

- Tank facing forward: Gets the instrument cluster, view through the windscreen.
- Left rear set facing forward: Gets your foot when you shift
- Front fairing facing aft: Gets your knee when drag it

hahah...i don't know if you want to have 8 cams on your bike. I imagine that'd be a disaster to edit, sync, and batteries would be crazy.

They're just suggestions for other mounting locations though.

For other mounts if you get two cameras facing 180 degrees away from each other. If you put them on the ground near the apex of a corner you can get a cool clips of you approaching the apex then a quick cut of you as you head away. It looks pretty bad ass.

EDIT: You should also talk to @urbaninja. He works in the film business and he has a ton of cool ideas for mounting locations. I think I actually stole all my ideas from him.

oh, I'm going to have to borrow that idea. I have two forward mounts right under my turn signals and a rear mount behind the passenger peg.

Heh, that's pretty cool other than the lack of stability. The shakiness is a bit headache inducing.

it was shakey because it was literally a pvc pipe. watching that thing snap when kevin did an up-hill wheelie was seriously priceless. IIRC it is still on the side of GMR if you want to go get it.

Definitely either have someone follow you with a camera facing you. Unless you don't have another rider to do that, put a butt-cam on the rear seat. I'm a big fan of that angle when riders be draggin knee
