what type of chain and sprockets should I get?
My first time having to change em and I'm not exactly sure. I would like stock gearing unless someone can convince me otherwise and I'd like to order it online. Thanks.

14 Front 49 Rear, RK XO Chain. You will lose a little top end, but if you mostly ride around town its great. The bike accelerates a lot quicker. I use JT Sprockets, they work great!

Stock is 14/45. People here have tried everything from 15/41 (much taller), to 13/49 (much shorter). Generally, going taller seems more common here to make the bike slightly less buzzy on the highway. With the following site, you can play with all of the typical gearing choices and see what it does to speeds in each available gear.

Depending on what type of riding you do, at 6500 rpm a 15/41 or 15/42 will put you at about 65 mph indicated (+/-1 mph). |

Ask me how i know.....RK XSO chains....come with a rivet master link so if you want to use a clip master....you need to order it separate...preferably when you order the chain....not after you have the wheel off and are ready to change it . : ) I just put on a sunstar 41 and some other brand steel 15. The RK XSO comes in various lenghts so if you're dropping a few teeth off the rear you can get them in 102 and 104. 15-41 is very nice for long highway riding
