Accessory leads not working, can't figure out why

Like the title says, I'm getting ready to go on a moto camping trip and I need to be able to use the accessory power. I bought a cigarette lighter style adapter and hooked it up to the leads under the seat but I can't get it to power anything.

Any ideas?

Does your outlet have an inline fuse?

Some 12 volt sockets are a poor match to some 12 volt plugs. I have seen times when it helps to rotate the plug in the socket to make the contact.

Right now I can touch the leads together and I get no spark. Its my understanding that the accessory leads are on all the time.

Obviously you've got a blown fuse dummy!

I replaced the fuse and the accessory outlet is working perfectly. It still won't charge my phone, but I think that has to do with the charger. My little air compressor ran perfectly.
