Hmmm,.. Kinda surprising considering attendance, but good to hear none the less. Guess the changes to and repaving of the track had a lot to do with it.

Can't wait for next years race.

COTA, Texas, much better! Don't mess with Texas. Remember the Alamo! TexMex, illegals, tons of coke, screaming hot ladies, guns are not only accepted, but needed, what else could you ask for!

I watched my buddy take a back pack with a cooler full of beer, twenty in all, into the race at Indy this year. Security checking him, and giving the thumbs up.

Let's see you try to do that at the race in Tehas! Don't think so

The Circuit of the Americas, home to Austin’s inaugural Formula One race, sold $2.8 million worth of beer, wine and mixed drinks in November – more than any other venue in the state, according to new figures from the Texas comptroller’s office.

Yeah exactly, they sold $2.8 million a beer at $7 a bottle. At Indy it's BYOB, of course they sell beer too. But when you can bring in a 12 pack for the price of 2 why buy from them

Honestly though everyone I talked to at Indy that went to Austin liked Indy better. I think they said Austin lets you bring in one bottle of water to the track. At Indy you can bring in a backpack with food, water, beer, whatever you need for the day and then spend your $$$ on souvenirs and gear.

Indy is used to catering to White Trash and Rednecks, neither of which could afford $7 beer.

Ouch! You obviously haven't been to the race if you think it's just a bunch of broke, white trash, rednecks in the crowd. This isn't the nascar race we're talking about. Actually a lot of the people I saw there probably weren't even from the U.S.

Plus you can't honestly tell me that you'd rather spend hundreds of dollars on food and drinks instead of team apparel or new gear.

Like I said, they are used to catering to white trash/rednecks aka NASCAR fans.
