Chromed windscreen???
Has anybody "chromed" their windscreen either through a tint shop or spray? I'd like to do something with my screen other than just blacking it out and was thinking that a mirrored look on my black bike would look sharp. Any thoughts or pics???

You might get a ticket for having that much chrome that high on your vehicle depending on the state you live and I don't mean "Insanity" LOL Some states consider it a distraction if it reflects too much...

The quality on it is good and for the price of it considering that is from ebay I don't think we could find a sweet deal on an awesome looking windscreen anywhere. Highly recommended

would you say that the windscreen in the ebay link is pink/blue-purple in real life?

No, it's iridium. I was thinking the same thing and I ask for a pic of the real item and is not pink. Look at the pic above that's my bike with that windscreen "iridium"

Not to be a total hater since my '96 is totally farkled up, but just be careful with these shiny windshields. I've been blinded by both tinted and normal windshields and it's not avoidable if the person is driving in the opposite direction on a long, flat road.

mane how high is that double bubble? It look like to be lower than the expensive one. Does it help with wind at highspeed?

Well, it looks the same as the expensive one and to be honest with you I can't really answer if it's good for high speeds since I don't really ride fast. I buy it because it looks nice and gives better looks to my 250

i ordered this one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Windshield-W...item19d204383a) on the 5th. should be here tomorrow. i'll take pics once it's here.
i have a DB painted the same color as the bike, a smoked standard one, plus the stock clear one. the DB definitely makes a difference. both my painted DB and smoked standard screen are hotbodies. |

pictures aren't the greatest. i don't have a very good camera, so i did my best. sorry for the dirty bike. it is in need of a bath badly.
the packaging was great. it was covered in foam wrapping a couple times and completely wrapped in shipping tape. it actually took a while to open. very high quality windscreen just like the name brands. very strong. fit perfectly. it's very bright and sunny here right now and with my camera it makes the one pic look a little dull, but i assure you, it's shiny when you see my reflection. i'll try to get some pics later when the sun goes down to see if i can get any better pics. it's very dark on the other side and hard to see through as you can tell looking through at my car, but i don't ever look through my windscreen anyway. i personally think it looks good on my bike. i have various 'chrome' (polished aluminum) pieces on the bike so it matches pretty well, and i have a chromed shield on my helmet, so that matches as well. i hope this helps anyone who is interested in the chrome look, and i recommend the ebay seller i purchased it from. the shipping time was reasonable being an international seller (purchased on the 5th, arrived today). here's the ebay link again: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Windshield-W...ht_5053wt_1105. |

So i was right its not "chrome" its a silver mirrored glass that you can see through. Identical to mirrored lenses for helmets..

Amy needs to get some comission, she just sold at least one more of those screens to me.
It looks like what they call "black chrome", just really highly polished black. I actually wanted to get something that like chrome or silver, since my bike is all black anyways, but I think it will look great either way.

Chrome windscreen arrived!!
Just got my chrome (silver mirrored) windscreen. Ordered it on the 7th from eBay, and it was packaged up really well. It fits the bike perfect, looks great and was only 30 bucks!! Oh yeah, its a double bubble too!! Best part...it matches my chrome visor!! Had to take pics of it in my basement as it is raining here today, but the pics don't do it justice!!

We bought an iridium from Ebay on 7-22-12, and we're still waiting for it. I'm hoping it looks kinda pink/purple to match my wifes purple ninjette. Her helmet has a pink/chrome shield already. She cant wait for it to arrive so she has more room for her phone- its mounted under her windscreen and its pretty tight right now. The double bubble should help with that. I'll be sure to post pics when it comes in and add them to this thread as well.
I think the chrome looks good too. |

Yeah I know, I even asked about its appearance in real life vs the ebay pics.
On the ebay auction, there are a few different pics of irridium, some have a pinkish hue while some have some yellow to them. I really dont know if its the irridium or the lighting or reflection when the pic is taken. Either way, we are hoping the one we receive has some pinkish tone to it. |
