Most Likely, I'd much rather be riding a 250 but i don't think anybody is going to lend me one haha. Might be able to talk my friend who came with me last time to take his but i doubt it! He knows i might crash it haha

Track Transportation.

I dont think I will be buying a trackday after all. I should really be saving money lol. HOWEVER. I do still want to come hang out with all of you guys.

So I will be happy to provide bike transport for anyone who wants to go. Just help pay for gas and I'll drive you there Thursday night. And drive you back Friday Evening.

Have one spot for one bike. Other spot is taken

Let me know if anybody needs a ride

@Darling Ninja

Is that it?????? Hmm... well... We have one spot still available to ride with us for $100 if anybody is interested.

We're 3 weeks away from the track day! Does anybody have any questions? Need gear? Transport help? How are your tires? When are you getting to the track? I plan on getting there on Thursday.

How are we all looking!?

I just verified transpo from @krolinked, so I am good to go.

I won't be able to stay the whole weekend since I am racing for M1GP at Willow Springs on the 21st.

Okay, less than 2-weeks away and I think I'm almost ready. I've never been to CVR before and had a few logistic questions. Help?
-- Where does one buy ice before arriving to the track at 6AM? And if not, how do you keep all your drinks/food chilled?
-- Are there outlets to plug in tire pumps or electric fans to keep cool near your canopy? Or do people bring their own generators? Not sure how to keep from melting out there in the dessert.
-- I'm mid-life on my Rosso Diablo IIs, but I don't ride hard, so I don't know if I really need new tires yet. I was thinking to just buy new tires at the track after a few laps if necessary. Good idea or not so good idea?

THANK YOU!

You can get ice cheap at Winco off of Jackson road off the 10 freeway. It's $0.98 for a 10 pound bag. Cash or debit card only at Winco. Winco is open 24 hours. It's a ginormous supermarket. It's always our last stop before heading to the track.

You can also buy ice at the track for $6 for a 20 pound bag

BYOG--Bring Your Own Generator

You'll be fine with your Rosso IIs...I currently run those as my rear tire and they still grip even when you're past the wear bars. Mine were still grippping when I was passed the sipes itself.

Also, no more snack bar, so be sure you self BBBQ (the extra B is for BYOBB)

20LBS of ice is available at the front office for $6.

No outlets.

If you don't really ride hard, mid-life is fine.

Thanks for all the great tips, everyone! Good to hear that my tires should be okay. (Phew!) I'll plan on buying lots of ice and hopefully arriving by 6AM. Now, I've gotta get me a generator and a good fan! =)

Generators are so expensive, princess! Besides... Then you're just pushing hot air at yourself.

The best way to stay cool is shade (some kind of pop up canopy), and water.

While you're doing both of those I also recommend accepting the inevitable...... you're going to sweat like crazy and re-discover crevices that you haven't thought of in years
