Flat Spot in Power Band
Just wondering if this situation is symptomatic of the carbs needing to be cleaned or something else entirely.
When I get to about 8k RPM in both 5th and 6th gear, it feels like there's a flat spot. If when I shift up into 5th or 6th and I end up above 9k then there is no problem whatsoever. But when I'm trying to get up from below 8k, the engine feels like it's losing all it's oomph as soon as I hit 8k RPM. Then it crawls up to 9k and then jumps up and starts pulling normally again. Any suggestions? |
