Part ID help

This might not be the best forum for this, but I went through the search function and looked at all the microfiche but can't find what I'm looking for.

I removed my rear fairings and lost the plastic/rubber surround from around the seat locking mechanism. Anyone know what that part number is?

I'm not really sure which part you're talking about, but here's the seat diagram:
from here: http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/model...semblies/25713
and here's the locking part of it:

I thought it might be difficult to describe. Here's a picture of what I'm looking for. It's the black insert surrounding the key mechanism on the rear fairing.

I think it's part # 92071

click the link she posted three posts up and scroll to the side covers/chain diagram. It's right above the bolt and insert (92153 and 92154) just like on the bike.

I think you might be right. It's only $4 so why not just roll the dice.

I think that part goes towards the back of the rear seat, underneath it. Maybe I'm wrong but I think he's asking for the rubber piece that goes around where the key is inserted to lock or unlock the rear seat.

An arrow would totally help lol And I don't see that rubber piece around the key hole anywhere on that diagram.

That's exactly what I'm looking for...the rubber piece around the key insert. I'm heading to the dealership today to see what they say.

Yeah, he posted a picture and stated that that's what he was after, I can read too. Its located between the two bolts, just like the photo he posted. The picture looks pretty clear about it, but sometimes parts can be mislabeled in pictures. The kawi dealer should be able to tell him for sure.

Not yet, I had to order the part from the dealership. (I guess they don't stock much more than tires and filters) I'm expecting it in this week sometime. I'll keep everyone posted.

I'm going with rockNroll's suggestion and rolling the dice on #92071. It seemed like a good gamble and it was only $3. I'll keep you all posted.

Well, after a week of waiting for the part to arrive, it's finally in. And part #92071 is the winner! Thanks rockNroll for the lead. Here's some picts.
