Corbin Seat Orders

Ordered 1 for my N-250. The website indicates a 2 week process plus the 3 shipping days. So seems reasonable I order on a Saturday. I get an email on Monday and I paraphrase the contents, it says... Thank you for your order, etc etc etc. The following dates are our plant shutdowns Thanksgiving (a few days), Xmas ( a few days) and our processing period is 4 to 6 weeks....... vist our site often. "Hell and damnation"... why don't they just post this processing change on their website...... grrrrrrrr this does not make me happy......

Corbin is in my old home town. I grew up with some of the owner's kids. Let me see if I can dig up a personal email from my pile and shoot them an email. I do know that with low volume items like prods for the 250 they usually make to order. Plus filling orders in the order they are received. With thanksgiving coming up I wouldn't expect it until the second week of december.

addy, iirc they told me it would take 3-4 weeks. i got mine in 1 1/2 weeks and that was to hawaii. although, mine wasn't during the holiday season...

btw, i wasn't impressed with it initially, in fact i thought i wasted my money. however as it broke in, it became more and more comfortable. just a heads up.

Thanx for the heads up Gary. I'll just sit and wait to see what and when it comes. They say those things about "Mustang" seats too. Disappointed in the delivered item (hardness) but as miles are put on they indicate that even those conform and are quite comfortable much as the break in for the Corbins.. I'm expecting my initial reaction to be as yours was... its all good.

Corbin is like some other's, they dont let people advertise prices. I dont even think Corbin lets people use pictures. When ever you notice something like that, or web sites listing the same price(msrp). Give one of your favorite places a call.

Really pays if you live in Cali or Fl, where you get hit for Corbin sales tax.

hey wait, dont be mad you cant ride anyways in winter.....

oh i see, your in TX
Lucky SOB!

Hey man, once you get that seat and put on with afew rides under your belt, make sure to let us know your feedback on that seat!

now im not gonna pay $200-$300 for a seat like that, but i am planing on taking my seats off and going up to a local store (Foam Factory) and buy my own mats, then customize my seat to craddle my but for a better, longer, comfy rides next season!
(since here in MI. you cant ride, might as well tinker on the Ninja during downtime!)

Corbin seat arrived at 10:00 TODAY. One day earlier than their update, perfectly boxed and u can still smell the freshness of the glue and leather... oh yesssss. However, its raining all day so I'll have to wait until tomorrow for a try.... I'm so surprised at the change of time frame from 4 to 6 weeks to 1 1/2 weeks considering the first email notification.... go figure.

yeah, i don't know. that seems to be the norm. under promise and over deliver. we do that at the hospital also. like we tell the patient, the wait will be about 30 minutes when we know it will be less than that. when we come back in 15 minutes, they are like, "oh that was fast!"

but anyways, congrats! let us know your impressions when you get a chance to ride.

ER's suck! You go in dieing, they give you a shot of morphine..... ask how you feel now... OK, go see your family doctor Then you get a 15,000 dollar ER bill

I don't know where. Corbin does hold its dealers to a certain sale price scale. So I doubt you will find it much cheaper anywhere else.

Dave.... put the seat on yesterday and rode to work. There is a noticeable difference in the "platform" whereby it doesn't really allow you to pitch forward into the tank like the stock. The leather seat anchors the jeans very well. There is a wider feel to the seat and the sculptured center point adds additional balance as well. It also allows you to slip back further when anchoring into turns, not like the stock, which adds to your control. Less leg gripping as well. The cush is a little more than the stock. Overall its darn more comfortable and contributes to more control..... I'm impressed! Can only get better with time as well. Oh and since its leather.... its warmer on the butt!

instead of ordering straight from Corbin..you can go through a vendor, which I did a year ago...i think it's a little cheaper. If i remember correctly, i paid like $235 shipped or something like that.
