Power Outlet Casco 212711C All Weather

Has anyone installed this particular All Weather power outlet. Before attaching to my V-900.. and one of you have already installed this item.... tell me.... which is the "positive" or hotwire the gray or the white one. It impossible to tell due to the waterproof body they have enclosed the wires in at the base of the power outlet.... thanx in advance...

Most outlets have the center contact +, the outside circular contact is -. I don't know how your wires go but just check continuity between one wire at a time to each contact and see which one goes to which contact and wire it up appropriately.

Set your vom on resistance and touch the two vom wires together. The meter should go full scale. Now with the "Casco outlet" disconnected, connect one vom lead to one "casco" lead. Connect the other vom lead to the center connection of the "casco". If the vom goes full scale, that "casco" lead is the positive wire, so the "other" casco wire is the negative.

Update: This power outlet is as follows for anyone installing and do not have the VOM to locate circuit......

Positive = Gray Wire / Negative = White Wire

This helps for an easy install with limited or broken Voltage Testing equipment.
