Naked style gauges?
Hey all, I recently converted my ninjette to a naked bike and really like the look of it. My only issue is that the oem gauge cluster looks funky on it so I wanted to fabricate a little mount for some aftermarket gauges.
I found an analog tach, speedo, and coolant temp gauge but I wanted to come here to ask if there would be any accuracy issues, or if I could somehow turn the oem gauges into individual pods as I do really like the look of the gauges, just not the housing theyre in. Thanks in advance |

I also was gonna try a newgen gauge cluster but it has a fuel gauge instead of a temp gauge. if its possible to swap the two out that would be handy

A Trail Tech Vapor is an easy option. I ran one for a minute. It's very low profile and you can mount it up with a couple pieces of aluminum.

Agreed, the digi tach killed it for me. I sold it recently.
If I were to go without a fairing again I'd still use the factory gauge pod; that plastic kinda worked as a fly screen for me tucked over the round headlight bucket I used. It was big, for sure. Ultimately I found the stock fairings made the bike most useful so I just went all back to stock.

I have a digital gauge on one of mine, but I looked at doing a set of analog gauges. You just need to figure out the wiring and set up the gauges on a mount. I swapped the temp into the gas gauge on the new set and just watch the gas “level” go up to know if I have warmed up the bike. There is a digital read out for temp as well, but it isn’t correct for the sensor, so I just use the gas gauge.
