throttle or carb issue!!!!!
mechanical question for you that you might not know the answer to but im just asking anyways.... i jetted my 250r with a dynojet kit put on a full yoshimura TRC carbon fiber exhaust, and its sitting without a cluster right now because i just got my koso rx2.. we re-installed the carb and we went to turn it on and hear the exhaust but she wouldnt turn over for 2 days so i put heaters all around it to warm it up over night and then i put it on primer and tried turning it on.. she finally turns over and jumps right to max rpm i have NO throttle control what so ever, throttle is closed and the second it starts up, she just starts screaming. turned down my idle and yep still screams. starts without a choke either.. weird? put the gas back on and now she wont turn over got maybe one or two shotgun decibel back fires out of it. i mean the throttle is making a weird clicking sound too and im just worried if i turn it back on im going to blow it up.. any ideas?

Sounds like you have not finished your assembly. Put everything (the gauges) together, then reinspect your work. Hard to tell exactly what you did or did not do.

maybe you got the 2 throttle cables back to front, and its holding the carbs totally open? lol... sometimes its some really silly mistakes that just kill the bike.
the bike runs fine without the dash, so its probably something mechanical, with the throttle cables, vacum pipes, or carb assembly. like Blue said, take apart and reassemble, making sure its all hooked up correctly.
