Tires tires tires '90 250

So I've read this

http://faq.ninja250.org/wiki/What_ti...zeler_Lasertec

Are there more modern options since this was written? What is a great street/track tire assuming I never have to ride in the rain? I'm not really worried about price or too concerned about wear. Looking for something super grippy. 16"

Essentially I'm looking for the motorcycle equivalent to car "R Compound" tires.

Your selection of 16" tires is very limited. You may find a few new options in these listings.

Are there truly no "race ready" tire options for a 16" wheel?

I guess it's gone the way of 14" car tire options, that's a shame.

We need a company that is willing to corner this market

The tires that are available (the Pirelli Scooter, the MT75, and even the Sport Demons), all would work fine at the club racing level on most stock ninjettes of that era. Even if there were an uber-sticky tire, the available gains in lean angle, grip, wear, or general handling are limited almost entirely by the bike at that point.
