Mechanic wanted - St. Louis area

Hi all,

My 2008 ninjette hit 7750 miles today and I need to get a valve check done. The engine makes a soft fluttering noise when throttle is applied.

Does anybody know a reliable mechanic in the St. Louis area who charges reasonable prices? Is it advisable to go to the dealer shop to get work done? While I am getting the valves spec'd I might get the radiator flushed, brake lines changed to SS, brake pads replaced and carbs cleaned (depends on how expensive it will be)

The last time I took my bike to the local mechanic for a oil change, he put in full two quarts of engine oil instead of the recommended 1.7-1.8 quarts for a filter+oil change. I guess it doesn't matter that much, but I'd rather not have 2 quarts of engine oil. Hence I am looking for reviews beforehand.

I wish I had the time and my apartment allowed me to work on my bike in the garage so that I can do the work according to proper specifications.
