great 250 racing guys

I had a great time racing with you guys. Rexbo, Nemesis. josh and all the other I met. The ttrack is fun and it was great to see everyone step it up. I talked with a hand full of guys who said they were faster then they ever where this weekend. Thats exciting. Props go out to Rexbo for a new track record. A 2:07.243. thats close to 3 seconds faster then last years track record. Great job buddy. I hope to see you guys again. Rexbo. Hope to see you at Buttonwillow. PS we' ll keep our secrete on how dominate the pirelli tires are to our self. The other brands will never touch that lap time. So your safe.... At least for awhile..lol

just saying... this weekend is what I had always hoped 250 racing would be like. 250 production on sunday, first place changed hands 4 times in the first 6 corners!

Thanks a ton for coming out brian, its a long haul for sure. I'll see you saturday!

Not gonna lie... didn't think we were doing that kind of pace, I mean I knew it was fast but I was constantly kicking myself for screwing up corners! I think Nem is right, I wouldn't be surprised if lap times dip into the 2:06s this year. I also won't be surprised if I see the grid swell up some and get faster consistently. I think we're gonna see some impressive races, Nem already has some battle scars to prove it!

Steve what tires are you running and what size? I am ordering new ones for next track day and hearing you guys gush about how good they are how could I not want to run them.

Pirelli Supercorsa SC1 110 front, Pirelli Diablo Rosso 140 rear. Front tire has been around a while, the rear is brand new to the states, and they're AMAZING. Literally, you can drag knee and toe on the 250 all day with these and they just stick. Definitely the best tires I've tried, ever.

I bought a set of the pirelli 125gp slicks to try out as well, but I'll see how they work at a track day first before racing on them and giving feedback, but damn they feel sticky.

What's the benefit of the super corsa for the front over the rosso?

The supercorsa is supposedly stickier compound than the rosso, and on these bikes you can never have too much front end grip. Also, the only make the supercorsa in a 150 size in the rear and tbh I like the feel of the 140 in back better, everything just works. Despite the rosso being the "less sticky" tire, I only really slid the back tire twice, and both times it was from running a little wide onto the outside berm and each time it was just super predictable and didn't even really change my line or speed.

Noobie here....are these tires only for the track or can you use them day to day/commuting?

The pirelli supercorsas and dragons are DOT legal, and you can commute on them. They'll wear out pretty fast though.

The 125gp slicks are NOT legal for the street.

Werd!

Again, thank you to the FLAP guys for coming out and pushing us to race hard. I'm really proud of Steve cuz if there's one guy who can put out fast times it's Steve. I knew this the first time I raced against him.

But like I said it doesn't matter if you're in the front, middle, or back so long as you work on your personal goals BUT having to battle it out with someone in your pace is icing on the cake. Just ask Kit and Tiff about their experience. The way Tiff described her EPIC battle...man, I wish she taped it.

And lastly, I really hope Cheeks (a.k.a. Aschika1) gets his bike fixed so he could join in on the fun next month. It really sucked for him. He drove all the way up there only to have bike issues which prevented him from racing and having to watch us race. That's one of the worst feelings.
