Changing oil, today just motoroil, but in the upcoming month i will change fork oil, last owner hasn't done it for 3-4 years! So i think the new 10w oil will do a massive change since my forks are very hard pt, during the old oil!

Also going to change the coolant, and bought a new air filter (uni-filter).

Had my chain guard painted and had a carbon fiber hydrographic done over the top of it, and then finally got my Evotech exhaust hanger installed it and removed my rear pegs! So much better!

Close up of the chain guard, I know it may not be for everyone, but I kinda dig it, the guy at the body shop that does the hydrographics told me it would be a big difference in price to get the OEM paint, but he was just at a hobby shop down the road from his place and they had a color that was really close, Good enough in my book lol.

It's not the only fuel injected bike that doesn't have and O2 sensor. Look at the 650, some Yamaha's, etc.
If other parameters are set correctly, the O2 shouldn't be needed. Typically you would tune a little rich to stay safe, and as the air temp and things change, there's a compensation built in to adjust the fuel.

When the ecu uses the O2 sensor your air fuel ratios bounce back and forth because it's trying to reach a perfect 14.7:1 mix. However, they normally use a narrowband sensor that only reads a hair above and below 14.7:1, so it keeps overcompensating. Without an O2 sensor, it adheres just to the map. Ideally, the computer would use a wide band sensor that reads between 10:1 and 20:1 AFR, but those are a lot more expensive and tend to be more sensitive and fail easier. Plus they're typically 5 wires instead of between 1 and 4.

As someone above said, changing the intake or anything for that matter, could change the mix or way the cylinders fill. Even two engines using similar parts can require different fuel maps to run right. So maybe your motor may have been extra rich or could have been close to being too lean, your elevation, the gas you got last time at the pump, etc can all effect it. Even whether you get Shell vs BP vs noname gas.

I have a Honda Civic with a fully built, boosted Acura Integra GSR engine running a piggyback engine management (Hondata S300) and I have a wideband O2 sensor wired into the ecu and keep it disabled because otherwise my air fuel ratios bounce around way too much and it runs poorly. Granted, I may not have all my parameters set perfectly right and an auto manufacturer is able to sort that out. I'm no expert, but I'm not unfamiliar to the world of EFI either.

I was at a bike shop a couple weeks ago and was told that automatic transmission fluid is the same weight and is interchangeable with 10wt fork oil. May save you a few bucks...

Nice to see other people using Uni filters. The oiled foam filters filter the best and don't clog and get restricted near as quick as oiled gauze like the K&N filters.

An O2 isn't really necessary. The air fuel ratios bounce around a lot, but there's things they can't really tune for like winter fuel mix vs summer mix. With gas that has ethanol, they vary the amount throughout the year and your air fuel ratios will vary. So....kind of agreeing with you and disagreeing with Kawasaki on their decision.

Your bike looks SWEET!!! Good work!!!

On a side note, would painting the rims green be overkill?

I really apprecaite the compliment thank you!
For my tastes painting the rims would be a bit much, I'm still debating on adding the green rim stripes, we'll see what the future holds.
Next up for the little ninjette is pod filters, remove the airbox, and a full area p exhaust. Hopefully my wife gives the thumbs up LOL

Adjusted valves, installed new speedo/tach

Adjusted the valves. Tiniest engine I've ever worked on (since my model airplane days).

Installed new speedo/tach:

Trailtech.net. It's the Vapor speedo/tach. It operates off a wheel magnet and sensor, and you calibrate it to the rollout length of your wheel.

Wow. My tire installer guy had a hard time getting the bead to seat until I suggested the ratchet strap idea. Riding the 250 feels Wierd after having been riding the r6 for the past few days. The bike feels so low and the ergo feels like I'm riding a horse! Makes me want to raise the rear some.

Turn in feels Wierd with my tire size combo. The 120 up front makes the front feel heavy and takes more error but the rear seems like it turns in faster than the front. It's aN odd feeling.

Checked tire pressure and lubed the chain on the 250R.

Installed and calibrated a Speedohealer V4 on the ZX6R, stock speedo had an error of +6.2% at 60MPH (actual, 64MPH indicated).

I aint got time for that ****.
The only thing that loosened the adhesive was the heat from the sun anyway. What I couldn't get up with my fingers I used a razor on. Rubbed the leftover glue off with 99% rubbing alcohol and a shop rag.

Takes a bit but there's no greasy mess to clean up later.

I think she'll look much better once she's got an area P exhaust, and pod filters

It was supposed to rain here today too....... looks quite sunny out the office window. Probably directly related to my vehicle choice, I'm sure.

In the pic is how it come from the dealer, there is just a temporary paper slip in plastic case from the dealer while I was waiting for the sticker to be posted out by the transport dept.

Yeah, it shows the date that registration has been paid up to along with vin# and details of the bike.
I'm not sure how it works in the U.S. but from movies the cop pulls someone over and always asks for "licence and registration"
Here they just ask for "licence"
