Headlight Issues
Last night, my low beam headlight burnt out. I switched on my high beam and within a couple minutes, it seemed to burn out as well.
A few minutes later, after driving back home, I restarted the engine and the high beams worked again, but still no low beam. This morning I checked the bulbs of course, and the low beam bulb filament is definitely burnt out, needs to be changed. The high beam bulb looks fine and works. However, I'm apprehensive about simply changing the low beam as there being a bigger systematic issue, given the high beam didn't stay on for long after the low beam burnt out last night. I don't want to run into a situation where I'm on a highway and the low beam goes out and suddenly the high beam doesn't work. Has anyone had this issue, is this normal? Thanks in advance, Noah |

Hell change the both, no worries, the filament is probably weak also, they don't like vibrations.
Hence why some go with CREE LEDs, or HID , last longer, purer light(whiter), more lighting output(lumens).

Thanks for the quick reply Scott! I replaced both headlights and there hasn't been a problem since. I'll definitely do LED or HID in the future, but for now I picked up a pair of Philips H7 12972XVS2 X-Treme Vision Bulbs. They look great. Thanks again! -Noah

If you go with HID, definitely look into getting a projector housing for it as well. Using HIDs with the stock reflectors will blind oncoming traffic.
