Why I still ride a Ninja 250

I bought my 250 in March. Of 2008. I'm often asked why I don't "move up" to something faster so I wrote an entry for my blog. Sorry for the shameless self promotion. Here are some pics of my 35,000-mile bike as an offering.

That's the same way I think about my 07. The best $1000 I've ever spent.

Great read.

Great pics dude, looks like you've had some adventures. I need to do more riding with my friends, especially long trips.

I am getting up there every couple weeks. Heading out (in minutes) for a bit longer than a week, so won't be up there until later in May, but I'll let you know.

I still ride a 250 cuz I'm broke as **** and have 5 tickets insurance don't know about it...They'll surely find out if I change anything or start a new policy so I gotta stick with it till my record clears. Its my 4th season now and over 25000 miles...

Good read....however that font you use makes it a little annoying to read IMO. The "e" looks weird

Nice post!

I bought my 250 only about 6 months ago and have put about 2,000 miles on it so far... I would love to eventually upgrade to a 650, but like you said, this bike does everything I ask of it. Hard to argue with that...

Very nice post indeed. Put about 5,500 miles so far in seven months. Looks like I got a long way to go to catch up with you.

Thanks. Riding with a group is an adventure in itself sometimes, but always a good time in the end. Long trips are funny, usually someone different in a grouchy mood every day, but we all know it and still poke fun at whoever it is (myself included)

Would love to do Oregon Coast and take in Crater Lake, but we can only seem to get 1 week off together and that is definitly a 2wk trip from up here. This years plan is Hells Canyon in July, should be a good ride.

Got mine in 2008 (same color) and broke 32,000 last year on my second cross-country trip. I feel the exact same way despite being told that I am "too heavy" for the bike. If that were the case, then I wouldn't have been seeing 100MPH-indicated on the speedometer on my daily commute.
