Long winter, spring is here... soon!

So far i dont have nothing set in stone, but over on at RSB I might be going on a group ride. So let me know the WEEK BEFORE April 16th, 2011.

my friend Steve is leading a group ride! Dunno how many, nor do we care! Come Ride!

RIDE: April Fool's Ride Saturday April 16 10:00AM Start
Good Morning All,

Well we are about a month out so I thought I would get this on the board (It is on the calendar.).

Meet up at the Mobil station just south of I69 on US24 in Lapeer, kickstands up at 10:00AM

We will do the Lapeer Loop which runs us from Lapeer out to Holly/Fenton through Clawson and Oxford to Lakeville (Lunch) up to Metamora and back to Lapeer.

Come on out and start the riding season.

If you need to get in touch with me the day of the ride $$$-$$$-$$$$.

As always ALL are welcome. Rain or preferably shine event.

I would suggest a ride, but it looks like February out here. Once it warms up, we should definitely get a 250 ride organized.

Oh we will, not many ppl that are serious about riding together seem to be active on this Fourm!

But thats alright, cuz Me, Matt, Carol have rode together many times, as we all have eachothers Cell #s! We all try to get something going, but aside from the Main 3-4 members here, post anything or ideas for a Date/Time ride, etc!

I will be selling my 250R this spring/summer, but that dont mean ill be too good to hang with the other 250R's!

@*@*@* I will have the new owner of my 250R, become a member of this website, to take my Place! *@*@*@*@*@*@

I've gotten to know other Riders of different ages and type of groups! I just love to Ride and go on trips that i have time and money for, hang out at a bike night and kick tires, etc, etc!

It was so nice to see Dave and Dawn today! It's been a long ugly winter here in Michigan.

We had a good ride, the first "group ride" of the season. Urban Tour, Detroit style! Went to Belle Isle, then tried to find Campus Martius - but there were so many people milling about downtown (home Tigers game!) that I gave up. Forgot the gps... Then we rode back thru some interesting areas Had Dairy Queen treats, then hit the parking lot at the community college to do some low speed cornering and practicing

Well I hope we can get more people motivated to join us next time !

And next weekend there is a Redline Superbike Ride on Saturday! ScorpionNinja already posted the details. Looks interesting

Unfortunately my allergies are acting up, so now I need to go put some tea bags on my eyes.

It was soo nice to get out and ****ing ride during a Nice day! It was nice to ride somewhere that ive never been... on the Ninja before!

but man i need to do a Trackday SOON!!! lol

So, this coming Sat. 4/30 well either Join RSB's group ride. Lapeer/Holly loop. Or, well come with you out to BMW's Stugis, Mich Rally!

I did the BMW Mini Rally in Sturgis yesterday. Not a big turn out. Still a nice ride, about 350 miles round trip. Met up with some BMWTCDers for the return ride.

I'd really like to meet up with the RSB sometime. Altho I still have doubts about taking the 250 to a superbike event
Next Saturday I have an ADV event to go to in A2, so I can't make the RSB Moms Day Eve ride...
Reminder: The following Saturday is the MC Beemers meeting and lunch ride to Zukey Lake Tavern. That's ALWAYS a great ride

Maybe spring is FINALLY HERE!!!

The ride calendar is gettin' full.

Yesterdays Lapeer/Holly April Fools ride, had us 650R.

Steve on his other bike, a Kawi ZZR1200.

Doug on his 2009 Black Ninja 250R.

Pete on his 2008 Gixxer 600.

After the ride was over and we met back at the starting/finishing point, we hung out for 45 mins talking some more. Pete and Doug were new guys to me. It was a cool and fun day!

Then dawn and I, headed out to Port Huron for a friend of mine, a Cancer Benefit for his sister! @ the Elks lodge.

The ride home lastnite was cold. I wish i brought warmer gloves/gear.

I got lost trying to find I-94. ended up on I-69, got off a wrong exit, etc!

I need glasses, as clearly now, my long distance vision isnt good enuff anymore, let alone at Night time!

We got home, Frozen, but Safe!

New member here just saying hey so I can be notified of future meet ups. I'm not able to stray very far from the Ann Arbor area but I'd love to get together and ride some weekend. This weekend I'm going to the Ticket to Ride event to test ride aa 2011 ZX-6R. I have a friend that has a Blue 250R that might be intrested in going as well depending on the date.

this Sat. May 21st I will be there at the kawi-demo-ride event. I will be with other riders from *RSB, as a group.
not sure what time our group ride will arrive at the demo-parking lot, but well be there, between 12AM-130PM!
Redline Superbike members are in our group ride, so just look for the Logo on Windscreens of bikes. Walk up and say Hi. If i dont spot ya first.


Sugarbear will be there on her blue 250R. Another girl (angie) will be in the group on her black 250R, as well!

After the Kawi Demo rides are over with, our Group Ride will contiune onward to Belle Isle! Your more than welcome to join us.

I'll be heading to the event early in the morning around 6:30 to ensure my friend and I are able to get a bike. We might do another ride in the afternoon. If we decide to stick around I'll be sure to look out for you guys. I'll have a yellow helmet with a yellow alpinestar leather jack and red boots. (avatar) I won't be bringing my bike however.

Event was awesome well worth going to. Scariest motorcycle I rode was a 900 custom curiser with floorboards. I couldn't find the shifter or brake 1/2 the time becuase I'm so used to the sport riding position.

2011 zx-6r and Z1000 were really damn fast. Z1000 was really comfortable but zx-r6 was awesome and I love the styling. Much more agressive riding position, was pretty sore after a short ride.

That Ticket to Ride event sounded awesome, I'm so jealous. I'm really surprised that they just let you had at it. The way they made it sound on the Kawi page was that you'd only to get ride one bike for a limited amount of time. It sounds like you got to jump on a lot of bikes and get some quality ride time in?

So I'm ready to commit to a group ride. I'm still a newb, and it'd be my first, but let's do it. I'm available on Monday's and Wednesday's, but carry a crazy work schedule on the other days. I'd probably be able to ride on other days, I'd just need a heads up. Looking forward to meeting up some time.

The ride lasted about 30 minutes, they had 3 sperate groups of bikes (super bikes, sport bikes, cruisers) at any given time two groups where out riding. I could have rode even more but I had to leave early. They want you to obey all traffic laws while on the ride but to be honest on the freeway at least on the sports bikes the lead rider (kawasaki employee) opened it up. I won't say how fast we went but it was above the speed limit; slightly yeh slighty

- The Kawi-Demos, Sunday was great, due to not hardly any people came out. I was able to ride 5-6 rides.

- Joey, so Mon or Wed's your OFF work? Well, if you wanna get out on a Mon. and met up with me, we could ride together. So you can met another rider, in case you dunno any other Soul. I work Half-days on Mon's.

-Wed's in the afternoon, Sugarbear is in a BMW motorcycle club and every WED night, 6:30-7PM they met up at a random Restaurant - (This WED, its at Murphy Inn, St. Clair, Michigan)

Oh yea, that Black Kawi-guy, would ride Fast! His name was James, very cool guy. I talked to him quite abit after each ride.

I've been too 3 Demo Ride weekends this Spring so far.
Triumph of Detroit May 8th.
BMW of Canton May 14th.
Kawi Ticket to Ride May 22nd.

By FAR, Kawi's Demo rides were much more Fun!

I think Kawi, kinda paid off the Cops in the area on Hines Park, to lay off us Demo riders... unless you were seperated from the group and rode like 80 MPH in the 35-40 zones.

Hey, this Saturday, Sugarbear is meeting up with a New group of Riders that she's found. Maybe shoot her a PM on here and find out more info.
- Ride is gonna start out in Northville, take Hines Park drive down, and End up in Hell, Mi. Lunch @ The Damn Site Inn!

Sugarbear hopped on the 250R (Green SE one they had there) i think 2x.
She rode her BMW up there. She had fun raggin' on Kawi's!!! lol

Note: I didnt ride their demo 250, though, i thought about it!

I was busy riding the Concours-14 2UP with my GF, Ninja 1000 2UP once, and like 3x solo!

Everytime i would sign up for the next ride, the ZX-6R, ZX-10R, ZX-14 were already filled...

I don't think they want beginners riding. One lady tried to ride the 250 but didn't know how to put the bike into first gear so they told her rides over. LOL

The BMW riders are people ranging from 30's,40's,50's,60's,70's. Their good folks. Most of them have different types of bikes, not just a BMW.
Pete, for example, hes got a BMW SP1150, a 1992 Ducatti 900, a 2006 Triumph Daytona 675.

Im 34 and have met alot of the MC Beemers group. They welcome all bike types, all ages!

Well, due to the extremely lousy weather, I didn't go to the Wednesday BMW dinner. Just got some new rain gear, but I guess I'm just not in that big of a rush to check it out

The Ticket to Ride Kawasaki Demo ride was great! I went both days last weekend. And I was surprised at how brisk the pace was on the demo ride. Rode the Ninja 1000 a bunch of times...
Also took that lil 250 SE out for a ride. What a fun bike. The Kawi demo ride guy came up to me before the ride and told me to keep it up to at least 9k rpms. I just smiled and said not a problem, I had one of these. I had so much fun revving the crap outta that 250. Rode it like I stole it Even got a big thumbs up from that Kawi demo leader after the ride.
Then one of the other guys who had been riding the Concours got on the 250 while I was on the Ninja 1000. And he passed me on the right on the expressway.

So there is a group of people riding on Saturday meeting at 9:30AM at Nankin Mills nature park on Ann Arbor Trail. Leaving there, riding thru Hines Park, Northville, and stopping for lunch in Hell. Haven't ridden with these people before. Might check it out tho.

And on Sunday, there is the monthly Boogie Woogie BBQ ride and eat in Pinckney on M-36, and ScorpionNinja might have something planned w/RSB too. (That may not be a good ride for beginners tho. Just sayin')
