New Racer Workshop, Portland, OR 11/21/13

Want to race motorcycles?

The Sang-Froid Riding Club presents an informational New Racer Workshop at Cheshire Motorsports on Thursday, November 21.

Address: 4815 SE Division St., Portland, OR.
Doors open at 6 PM for meet 'n greet.
Workshop starts at 7 PM.
Hot and cold refreshments will be provided.

If you race motorcycles, want to race, or are just curious about racing, swing on by and hang out with a bunch of like-minded folks. This event is in support of the Oregon Motorcycle Road Racing Association (OMRRA).

We road race (and have won championships) in multiple classes, from vintage to lightweight to modern superbikes – no matter what you are interested in there will be someone to talk to.

We’ll have answers to your questions, including:

How much does it cost to race? What kind of bike can I race?
Can I race my streetbike?
What kind of preparation is required for my bike?
How can I make racing cheaper?
Why should I race instead of doing track days?
Can I race with the riding gear I have?
Where can I learn more?
What shops support racers?
Can I make money racing?

It went really well.
We got 15+ potential new racers to show up.
Everyone had a great time and lots of questions were answered.
I'd say by the end of the night we had 5 definite converts to the grid.
To have this much momentum this early in the off-season was a sign of really great things to come for the 2014 season.
