first ride in 2014, 4th of January
A friend on a Honda 1500 Gold Wing, and myself on my 2011 250R took a 90 km (55 miles) trip from Stjoerdal to Trondheim and back, today. I think this was by far the earliest time of the year that I drove a motorbike. When I was a kid it was usually plenty of snow and ice on the roads at this time of the year. I'm located about 400 kilometers north of Oslo, Norway, Scandinavia.
Here, as well as many other places, we experience weather conditions that would be regarded very unusual, about 20-25 years ago. We had a nice trip, and saw about 5-6 other bikes along the road. Even a guy in a 40-45 year old Chevrolet Corvette waved his hand.. Normally I would not expect to be able to take the Ninja for a ride until late March, or April.
