Anyone tried the "Saddlemen Seat" for our bike?

My butt is loving my Spencer's Moto modified seat. Cost is a lot cheaper over a Corbin or Saddleman.

not sure about the 250, but i had a saddlemen seat on my zx10 and it was a vast improvement over the stock seat. i had a corbin on my katana and the saddlemen was just as comfortable. the channel down the center helped alot with my lower back stiffness

Don't have one, but thanks for the link. I've been looking around comparing seats for my sportster, and this gives me another option. Granted, not many of their HD seats fit the sportsters, but at least a couple of them do. Let us know how the seat is when you get it.

I've heard good things about their seats. Only problem with that specific one is that the darker material with the raised parts is made out of a nylon-type mesh which allows water/sweat to seep into it and may cause some issues down the road. Also, from what I've heard, leaving it sit out in the sun for prolonged periods of time (parked while at work, shopping, etc.) causes the gel inside to get extremely hot and would be pretty uncomfortable to sit on. Other than that I think it's a solid seat.

Take a look into Corbin seats. They're supposed to be top of the line as well and may be a little better suited for longer rides like you're talking about taking. After the break-in period for the seat they're supposed to be extremely comfortable. I will probably end up buying one as soon as I can find the spare cash.

I can confirm gel sitting out in the sun heats up big time (comes in to being great for colder weather though).

If you need something better than stock seat, which stock seat does get more comfy over time as it breaks in. I would just get a Pro Pad in medium size.

Check out Spencers Seat Mods as an alternative to buying a new seat.

I am satisfied with my seat with his mods. I no longer have any pressure areas and after a 3 hour ride my butt was not numb or sore.

Rx'd my seat, installed it, and gave it a test drive. It is actually a pretty sweet seat that is very comfortable. There is a little break in required.

The whole seat itself is not gel, there is actually a channel of gel running through the middle, the rest is foam. The weather around here has been rainy, so I haven't had the chance to let it sit in the sun and bake to see how hot it gets.

Definitely not regretting this buy, and would recommend it to others. Looks really sleak too.

Update.
I install ed the seat. It works great, I went for a ride on Saturday. I rode my bike for 4 hours and my butt never started to hurt. The seat is great, I love it and would do it again. Let me also say this, I have only tried the stock and this after market seat. I do like it, the seat installs a little differt than the stock. I called saddleman when I first tried to install it. So I called and spoke to Burt manager of customer servive. He explained it and 10 mins later I was ridding.

a good seat and worth the money.

This not the same exact seat as the one above but it's the same company. It fits well and can sit on for hours with out your butt getting sore.

I'm a weird one, the stock seat is fine for me. But maybe next year when I have saved up some money to burn I might look into an aftermarket seat to test the difference and see if it'd be worth it.

Ok,

Well take it from me, this is a very comfy seat. I had no problems with it and I was in the seat for 3 plus hours. The stock seat made my butt hurt after 1 hour. This seat felt like I was sitting on air.
