Ninja killer? I dont know. It looks really nice. Either way, it's good for Kawasaki to have some competition, this way they'll have to keep revising/improving the 250r. |

Well, there are some things I like about it and some things I dont.
Pros Multi-piece fairings - could be cheaper and easier to replace if you damage something Undertail exhaust - nice addition Ducati'esc trellis frame - nice and stiff Digital dashboard Ergo's closer to true sportbike Cons They dont know how to spell "aluminum" The tail/seat area is way too cruiser styled Its a thumper. And any 250cc thumper engine that has to turn high enough RPM's to fire off 27 hp is going to shake the fillings out of your teeth. Ninja Killer....not likely. |

This thing keeps on popping up over and over. I've seen at least four or five threads about it. "It may look more radical, but no, it's NOT a Ninja Killer" needs to be made a sticky or part of the FAQ.

I do like the undertail exhaust and the swingarm and frame design but I don't see a single cylinder being a 'ninja killer'...

Has anyone seen any reviews and comparo's done by any of the mags with this against the 250r? We can all say its not going to be a ninja killer(we all hope we got the better bike) but I'm sure none of us has riden this bike so really cant make a informed opinion.

Nice looking bike at a good price. We need more of those. I really hope they do well.
My guesstimate is that this bike will have about 5-7 less rear wheel horsepower than the Ninja 250. Their claimed dry weight of 248 lbs. is impressive if true but leads me to believe the chassis will be a Flexi-flyer. I don't think I'll need to sell my race bike.

It's going to be really hard to dethrone the current 250 Ninja. The ergonomics of the ninja is not of a supersports which is a good reason it's a great bike to ride on everyday and to learn on too. And it's twin piston really makes a good all around engine..and let's not forget to mention is it still pretty reliable

MCN had a review of this bike over in england and they said power was ok but over all build quality is miserable.

Seen quite a few of these bikes here in Australia, sat on a few too. They sure look the duck's guts, but when you take a closer look the build quality is no where up to the standards of the 250R. Kind of reminds me of another 250R competitor, the Hyosung, looks the goods but quality is sh!thouse.

Looks nice, but I couldn't even tell you where you could find a bike around here that isn't from one of the major brands.... nope, the only one it will kill is a few squids (ouch).

Had a look at one of these at the bike shop when I was choosing between the 250r and a second hand zx2r. I'lll be honest, the salespeople didn't like it. The model I saw they had for 3 weeks and showed rust around the fuel cap already. Did a bit of looking into them as a cheap bike for a friend. Every second person has poseted a big issue, and they are recurring issues. I told my friend to buy a baby ninja like I did. But that only what I have been able to see and find here in Australia. They might have better reports elsewhere...

Since its a small single, its going to be very hard to live with. I'm guessing HP will be around 18. Price is right, and looks great, so I guess there will be a small market for it.
