When Should I have My Bike Delivered?

So I bought a new 2012 Ninja 650 a few days ago, and currently it's sitting in a crate at the dealership. The dealer said to just give him a call two days before I want it delivered so he can set it up. I live up in Minnesota, and we're supposed to be getting dumped on this tues/weds.. but after that the temps should be rising.

*Should* be hi 40s/low 50s by end of March. My MSF course is April 14 & 15. When do you think I should get the bike? As of now, the dealer is planning on delivering it on April 14th. The wait is killing me.

After MSF

Just because you don't want to be tempted to ride it and potentially ruin it

I agree, have it delivered AFTER you finish your MSF and have your license.

Your first bike is a ninja 650 right?

Why arent you taking the course on their bikes?

A first time rider on that large of a bike is a disaster waiting to happen to begin with. Add in melting snow (water in the road, April showers May flowers as well), ice, worse black ice, frigid temps (windchill is a dangerous mistress) etc something just doesnt add up.
I've ridden before, its been a while though. I'm taking the class to make sure my fundamentals are good and also I get an insurance discount. I am taking the course with their bikes.. they don't allow you to use your own here if its over 500ccs.

The better question is "Where should I have my bike delivered?" I'll just give you my address and I will break it in for you.

It's plenty warm where I live. It was in the mid 70's today! Oh it was so nice!

But seriously, Just get that bike delivered to my house and I will have it all broken in for you whenever you want it.
