I finally saw the pic and it's a medium, right? I wonder if it will be too big on me? Only because mine are sized small and they fit me kind of loose as it is.

Thanks for the heads up for the BJJ and kickboxing stuff guys. I will go tonight but you've pretty much talked me out of it. LOL I mean, I know what it is, but I was under the impression they had classes that didn't focus on hands-on just technique and movements (to get a workout.) I know tonight I'm trying a fundamentals class and they invited me to stay for the basic beginning class so we'll see how that is. I had my second back surgery 7 mos ago and though I'm active (running/jogging, riding, zip lining, etc) I know my limits and I can't control what happens to my back if someone else puts their hands on me.

any type of kick boxing will get your heart rate going. I doubt they spar there... but if they are doing ju jitsu then maybe they do. idk...

but with a kick boxing class its generally just you and a bag.

some bjj classes have two parts, one where they drill different techniques and the other when they they roll.

you might be ok with skipping the rolling, but thats where you learn how to apply and set it up.

My wife was into kickboxing for a few years. First just as a great workout, but eventually got into the actual fighting/competition side of it. She loved it!

The longest for sale thread ever, great job Jiggles

Thank you, thank you. I'd like to thank all the little people that made this happen. @Minikin_Jo without your sexy pictures I could never have achieved this. There were many other countless people I'd like to thank but none of them showed any skin so I don't think they deserve the honor.

Again thank you all

Jiggles, you're hilarious.

And, I enjoyed BJJ a LOT. I did everything they showed us to do. It was very awkward at first...meeting someone for the first time, then suddenly we're rolling around and sitting on each other's heads or straddling each other...they invited me to spar at the end but I chose to just observe at that point. Since it was my first time I wasn't sure what that would be all about.

Next week I'm going to try the Muay Thai. They did cover the 4 punches with me last night but I felt so uncoordinated.

you get to do it with a chick or a dude, cause I could see how that would be weird with a dude. and a dude might get a little excited... I did it for awhile before I moved, and we'd set up and a dudes legs would be spread and we would be almost junk to junk.. stuff like that. I was not excited... haha

its way less awkward with a gi on.
i learned to break guard and pass well in nogi, because it was uncomfortable.

nogi is like 2 steps from rape,if you're losing... lol.

I was with 3 different girls the whole night. They did put girls with girls and guys with guys. I think during sparring I did see one guy and girl but it didn't seem like anything inappropriate. Everyone wore the gi. They told me to come comfortable in regular workout clothes.

2 girls were blue, they said they've been doing it for 2/3 yrs. 1 had a white and yellow belt and she said she's been doing it almost 1.5 yrs.

I have no clue on the cost. They haven't discussed that with me yet. I get a whole month free and they gave me a tshirt. I got an email to ask for a water bottle next time. I think they are suckering me in with all the freebies. I've heard they are quite expensive. So I'm a little scared to find out. Until I do, I shal take advantage of the free classes and gifts!

What sucks is my husband hated it. I thought it would be something we could both enjoy. He studied ninjutsu and I forget what else but basically it's so different than what he's learned and used to teach he determined its not his style.

I can understand that. I dont like grappling stuff (even though it is insanely useful and beneficial in the martial arts world) I would rather be breaking peoples faces with my knees and elbows.

i surprised he didn't like it.
some parts of ninjutsu could utilize grappling and judo. it could have added some elements to his game. a martial artist should realize that every art has weakness and strengths for an individual. his goal should be to get as much tech as possible and see what works for him.

maybe he's more of a striker, but i'll still suggest he take some grappling class for take down avoidance. its a bad thing when the fight hits the ground and you can't get up to use your skills.

bjj is usually expensive, class usually runs at least $80-150 a month.
hopefully they include thai boxing for free.
