fuel position question

when the petcock is set to PRIME and bike is off, does fuel flows out? I set it to prime and bike off, I do not see any fuel flow (through my clear fuel filter). However, if I disconnect the hose off the carburator, fuel will flow out from tank. Can someone confirm this?

yes, that's how it's supposed to work. It won't flow when you have it connected to the carbs cause the fuel valve inside the carbs is being held closed by the floats if the carbs are filled with gas.

if you disconnect the fuel hose from the carbs, it should pour out of the end of the fuel hose in the prime position.
