That looks good. What part of the exhaust are you talking about?? I have a wrecked muffler and manifold that I can try it on if you tell me how

I don't think that's burnt chrome, that's the color that titanium turns when it's heated. Is it possible those exhaust tips are titanium?

I'm not sure..sometimes you see some exhaust that looks blue around the engine head from the head..though I'm not sure they are aftermarket exhaust or stock. Alex, any idea of what the stock exhaust is made of ?

i used to sharpen GT Gundrill bits ( quite Huge, some are long as 12 ft) back in a CNC shop when i was 18-19 yrs old.

They were made outta Carbite and i was shown and told "If you see this edge turn a 'BLUEish Tint', that means the Metal is Brittle and Junk!"

"The next time you use this drill, ill chip again or totally fragment where you see it BLue" - my old boss, Bill Davis

So IMO..... i Would NOT do it! That would = Bad! ugh

I know for sure that it's titanium. It happens from hot engines.

Some exhaust companies sell them like that. My brothers 3000GT got the bluing, but only from being used a lot, and used hard.

Two Brothers sells something like that. Expensive though.

Blued Exhausts.

As everyone else said years ago, titanium turns blue with heat.

it's called a "scorched" look sometimes when done intentionally on the muffler.

You can get pretty detailed if you can control the heat/oxygen to different parts.

Stainless Steel and Aluminum can't be scorched, but they can be anodized into pretty colors:
